TAKE OVER POWER

And the LORD will make you the HEAD and not the tail; you shall be ABOVE ONLY, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them – Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV)

God wants His children to operate on TOP. He wants for you to be the head and not the tail. It is His desire that you operate from ABOVE ONLY and never from beneath. You were created to be on TOP. You were designed for DOMINION. You were ordained for DISTINCTION. Deuteronomy 28:1 (NKJV) says: “NOW it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will SET YOU HIGH ABOVE ALL nations of the earth.” The Psalmist affirmed: “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall SET ME HIGH upon a rock” (Psa.27:5 NKJV).

God wants to SET YOU HIGH. He wants to SET YOU UP, to establish your feet upon the Rock. It is not His will that you be DOWN in the valley of defeat, discouragement, or depression. You are meant to be a VICTOR and not a VICTIM in life. You were designed to operate OVER and not “UNDER the circumstances.” That is why our Lord Jesus Christ TOOK OVER POWER from Satan. The Lord describes the fall of this adversary of humanity: “…I saw Satan FALL like lightning from heaven” (Lk.10:18 NKJV). In contrast, the testimony of Jesus is that: “…ALL POWER is GIVEN unto Me in heaven and in earth” (Matt.28:18b). Satan is fallen; Jesus has risen with ALL POWER! This speaks of a TRANSFER of POWER!

On the basis of the finished work on Calvary and the Resurrection, the Lord in turn requires that you actively TAKE OVER POWER from the enemy – that fallen entity who wants to pull you down and keep you down with him. The Lord Jesus Christ has handed over a baton of Authority and Responsibility to us believers. He has imparted the Gift of the Holy Spirit with His gifts upon you. It is your responsibility to STIR IT UP (2Tim.1:6). It is time to make a demand on God’s Power. It is time to unseat the usurpers and overthrow the horses and their riders (Exo.15:1). It is time to TAKE OVER POWER! On the basis of God’s infallible Word, in Christ you can TAKE OVER POWER from Satan and all of his demon-spirits.
