Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 55: 1-13

Ho! Everyone who THIRSTS, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price – Isaiah 55:1

How amazing it would be if we can truly hunger and THIRST for God’s Fullness! This is His Heart Cry: “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink” (Jh.7:37). It’s time for us to live in passionate hunger and thirst for God. It’s good, but not enough merely to be loyal, faithful and committed to Him. God is well pleased when we diligently desire and seek after Him: “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” (Jh. 4:23-24). God is pleased with and is “the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Heb.11:6b). Those who hunger and thirst for Him will be filled: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matt. 5:6). No hunger and thirst; no filling to fullness!

That we should hunger and thirst for God’s Fullness does not suggest that His resources are limited, scarce, or finite. Far from it! Think of these interesting illustrations by Charles Spurgeon: “I pictured a thirsty little fish who was concerned about drinking the river dry, with Father River saying, “Drink away, little fish; my stream is sufficient for you.” I also envisioned a mouse afraid of starving after seven years of plenty, when Joseph says to him, “Cheer up, little mouse; my granaries are sufficient for you.” Again, I imagined a man high on a mountain peak, saying to himself, “I breathe so many cubic feet of air every year, I am afraid I will deplete all the oxygen in the atmosphere.” But the earth says to him, “Breathe away, filling your lungs forever; my atmosphere is sufficient for you.”

The Lord told Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you” (2Cor.12:9). God’s Grace is great enough to meet both the greatest aspirations and the smallest needs in your life. All you need do is fully abide in Christ by faith and He will fill you to overflowing. The secret to a fulfilling and fruitful life with God is not straining or striving; it is not overworking, but being filled to overflowing, by faith. God desires to fill every void in your being with His life and His love. He’ll never hoard the tiniest of His resources. He’ll never taunt your hunger or mock your thirst with a mirage. He’ll never allow you to be wearied with hunger or to faint for thirst. Even if you’re wading through the wildernesses of the world, He’ll feed the hunger of your heart and fill the thirst of your spirit.

God wants us to experience His fullness. Why shouldn’t we earnestly long and passionately desire this for ourselves? Moreover, we should constantly seek to expand our capacity to be filled with the fullness of Christ. He alone has the Spirit without limit: “For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure” (Jh.3:34). For this reason, Jesus is filled with abundant grace: “And of HIS FULLNESS have we all received, and grace for grace” (Jh.1:16). From Him flows unending love (Eph.3:18-19). The Father’s will for us is for us to grow in and into Him. His eternal purpose is that: “till we all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Eph.4:13). There is always a boundless balance credited to our account in the bank of heaven. It is waiting for us to exercise our faith to draw upon it. As you hunger and thirst for more of Him, you draw heavily on God’s inexhaustible resources, never to be disappointed!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
