“That the GENUINENESS of your FAITH, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is TESTED by FIRE” – 1 Peter 1:7a
The Impact of Faith is often reinforced by TRIALS of FAITH: “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various TRIALS, that the GENUINENESS of your FAITH, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is TESTED by FIRE, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Pet.1: 6-7). “Trials of Faith” are like a refining process through which adversities become opportunities for our Faith to be tested and strengthened, leading to a more precious Faith, with the ultimate hope of an eternal heavenly inheritance, even while enduring temporary challenges in this life.
Trials of Faith are not meant to destroy the Believer, but to refine our Faith and draw us closer to God. Just as gold is refined by fire, our Faith is tested and purified through trials, revealing its true value, and signifying that even when we face difficulties, God is actively with us and protecting us. Though tough while they last, obstacles and oppositions can lead to Joy and Rejoicing, knowing that they are contributing to the genuineness of our Faith and the Glory that awaits us: “Yet believing, you rejoice with Joy inexpressible and full of glory” (v.8b). The secret is to keep our eyes fixed on the eternal reward that awaits us, which provides strength to endure and overcome present adversities.
2 Corinthians 4:17 says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal WEIGHT of GLORY, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Present afflictions are not only light and momentary relative to future Weights of Glory, they are “working for us” when we focus on unseen realities in the Eternal Word rather than the seen circumstances and Trials of Faith. Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Impactful Faith is usually tested Faith! The gentile woman who pleaded with the Lord for her daughter to be healed, refused to give up even when she was ignored and seemingly insulted (Mt.15: 22-28). Bartimaeus refused to be silenced by those who told him to keep quiet, until he caught the attention of Jesus and contacted his miracle. Trials can deepen Faith! No matter the trial – physical, emotional, social, or spiritual – we are encouraged: “My brethren, count it all JOY when you fall into various TRIALS, knowing that the TESTING of YOUR FAITH produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be PERFECT and COMPLETE, lacking nothing” (Jam.1:2-4).

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
