Bible Meditation:
Psalm 5:1-12

But let all those rejoice who put their TRUST IN YOU; let them ever shout for joy, because YOU DEFEND them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You – Psalm 5:11

Today we meditate on the concluding part of the second verse of Psalm 91: “I will say of the LORD, He is…my God; in Him I WILL TRUST” (Psa.91:2c). The use of the first person “I” portrays a Testimony of Trust; of personal faith. The condition of these verses must be met before the promises that follow will materialize. Verses 3 and 4 are a prophetic response of deliverance and defence. Verses 5 through 8 then describe the promises of personal protection in detail. Verses 9 through 13 revisit the prophetic response, affirming our God-given immunity from plagues, pestilences, and disasters in the world. The final verses (vv. 14-16) assume God’s mouthpiece, re-echoing His promises to the person who thoroughly trusts in Him with all of his or her heart and who positions his or her life in God.

To trust God and to trust in His Defence is to develop a sharp awareness of Him and sensitivity to His presence (Psa.139:7-12). Our Lord assures: “And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Mt.28:20b). One who trusts in God’s defence has learnt to walk with God, to draw upon His grace and anointing, and to dwell in the Secret Place of the Most High! When the Bible uses the imageries of refuge, rock, fortress, shield, buckler, and high tower, all of these are pointers to a Person: “And a man will be as a hiding-place from the wind…” (Isa.32:2). That Man is none other than JESUS! The object of your trust is not meant to be a physical place or material rock, fortress, mountain or tower. Your ultimate trust must be in God, through His Son Jesus Christ – the Rock of Ages and Eternal Fortress, whose Name is a Strong Tower!

The Psalmist sang, “I will say…I will trust”!  The grace of God is abundantly available for you testify with courage to your reliance upon Him. Others may say what they will, yours is to say to the Lord: “You are my Refuge, my Fortress; I will trust You”! But what you say must be evidenced by your actions. You must trust in the Lord with all your heart. You must focus on and run to Him, not to the arm of flesh, for shelter, safety, and security. Every creature uses its refuge in the hour of danger. Even so, in all peril or fear of peril, in all of Satan’s fire and fury, to trust the Lord is to flee unto Him, your Eternal Protector!

Yes, you have trusted in God; do trust Him still without hesitancy or wavering. He has never and will never fail you. Trusting in His defence, you will never be disappointed. As you trust in your Divine Defender, the blessings of Joy and Favour will be your portions (Psa.5:11-12). When you trust in God, He’ll defend you. That is guaranteed! Now, receive fresh grace to trust in the LORD and in His defence with all your heart!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
