UNLEASHING GOD’S POWER TO WORK

Bible Meditation:
1 Samuel 14: 1-15

And Jonathan said to the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over unto the garrison of these uncircumcised: it may be that the LORD WILL WORK FOR US: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save BY MANY or BY FEW – 1 Samuel 14: 6

God saw the soldiers of Israel cowering in fear before the Philistine invaders. He certainly could not have liked what he saw; but He didn’t step in to help His people – until Jonathan and his armour bearer took daring action and “risky” steps. Jonathan trusted in God to work for Israel and was confident that God could never be limited through the game of numbers.

God sees all of the exploitation, evil, inequality and injustice, as well as the multitudes who are living in poverty, spiritual bondage, idolatry and occultism in today’s world. He certainly does not like what He sees, but He doesn’t intervene until a Kingdom-champion – a Man, Woman or Child of Faith – takes up the Baton of Power through Prayers and Daring Actions! When such is the case, God unleashes His Power and blesses the efforts of such individuals and their Kingdom-partners.

Hanani the prophet said to King Asa of Judah, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (2 Chr.16:9). God’s eyes discovered Jonathan and his armour-bearer, and against all odds, He showed Himself strong and powerful on their behalf, routing the hosts of the Philistines. Jonathan’s adventurous and daring faith was revealed in his expectant declaration: “it may be that the LORD WILL WORK FOR US: for there is no restraint to the LORD to save BY MANY or BY FEW” (1 Sam.14:6). God does not require a multitude to win His battles! On one occasion, He actually reduced the army of Gideon from thirty-two thousand to three hundred, saying “lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me” (Jud.7:2-6).

If you and I will just step out in faith and follow as He leads, the power of the Lord will be unleashed to meet the world’s direst needs! Do you see a need around that God has given you the potential to meet? Trust God and start doing something about it. Take that step. Make that move. Let God “show Himself strong” through you. Let Him unleash His awesome power through your earthen vessel.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
