Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly VISION – Acts 26:19
VISION is LIGHT. “Where there is no vision, the people perish…”! (Pro.29:18a KJV). The absence of Vision is an invitation to destruction. The Light of Vision dispels darkness; while lack of Vision allows the dominion of Darkness. Like in the case of Elisha, Vision guarantees your Security against every onslaught of darkness (2Kgs.6:15-18). What then is Vision? While pondering on the 12 Pillars last month, we defined Purpose as “the Reason for Being.” Vision is the unveiling of Purpose! Divine Vision is a divine Picture with a divine Purpose. It is the God's revelation of His purpose to be carried out by a person or group of people. Vision is insight through the eyes of the spirit into God’s plan; the unfolding of His plan as it relates to a group of people or an individual. Vision combines the elements of insight and foresight: abilities to see deep within and far ahead.
God has a purpose for everything He created, and master plans for each of His children (Jer.29:11). He also put within us the spiritual Power of Vision, to help us find and fulfil Purpose (Eph.3:20). Paul prayed: “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the EYES of your understanding being enlightened…” (Eph. 1:17-18a). You have a primary purpose or assignment here on earth. To fulfil this, you must first discover God’s Vision for your life. “The light of the body is the eye” (Mt.6:22). “What do you see?” is a question God asked Jeremiah, and has asked people all through the ages (Jer.1:11). Lot “lifted up his eyes” in lust and ended up in destruction. In contrast, God commanded Abraham, “lift up now your eyes.” He obeyed, and entered into His Vision and a fulfilling future (Gen.13:10-16). Truly, eyes that look are many; eyes that see are few!
You cannot accomplish beyond what you see. You cannot grow bigger than your Vision in life. The ‘you’ you ‘see’ is the ‘you’ you’ll become. Your Vision shapes your life. Your Vision defines your destiny. Your Vision is your Future! Fewer are the individuals who, passing through life’s lanes, stamped their footprints on the tracks of time, than those who passed unnoticed and unsung. You were not created to roam the routes and wander through the wilderness of life purposelessly. You can be among the honoured ones who discover their specific placement in life – Vision! Your life need not end up like a fleeting dream or faceless shadow transiting the stage of time. You have a glorious destination (Pro.23:18; Rom.8:28-30). The Light of Vision shows you that destination right from your location. Vision is your vital path-finding tool; your Pathway to honour and dignity. Vision adds Value to life!
Vision renews Vigour and Strength as portrayed in the life of Caleb, who at age eighty-five still kept alive the Vision of Victory that was in him forty-five years earlier (Num.14:7-14). Leadership thrives on vision (Mt.15:14). The absence of vision spells anarchy, confusion, disorder, frustration, rebellion, and destruction. You must personalize and become so intimate with your Vision that it becomes a Law that must be obeyed. Paul testified: “…I was not DISOBEDIENT to the heavenly VISION” (Acts 26:19). I pray for you like Elisha did: “Lord…open his eyes that he may SEE” (2Kgs.6:17a). May you be positioned and the “eyes of your understanding” activated to catch your heavenly Vision! May your Vision never die, derail, be delayed or aborted! May God empower you to write, enlarge, run with, and fulfil your Vision (Hab.2:1-4). May you never be disobedient to the heavenly Vision, in Jesus name!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
