He grants the barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD! – Psalm 113:9 (NKJV)
In His Mercy, God intervenes in our mundane affairs, even when we do not actively invite Him to do so. When He visits the helpless, help is released. When He visits the hopeless, hope is restored. He longs to have His hand in matters that concern the destinies of the humble, needy, weak, and vulnerable among His creatures. In this Season of Prophetic Restoration, the Lord is saying to His beloved: “I want to have a hand in your affairs. If you will, I want to set things right in your life.”
Are you going through tough and trying times? Does hope seem to have been deferred in your life? Do you feel abandoned or neglected by supposed allies and friends? Have you been battling with barrenness or lack of fulfilment in one area of life or the other? Does it seem like it’s too late for God to intervene in your affairs? Have faith and take courage! God will not be late to intervene in your case (Psa.46:5). He has everything already figured out. His Word comes to change situations. Samaria’s situation seemed hopeless; even the king was helpless; but God intervened and turned the tide around (2Kgs.6).
In today’s text, a notable Shunammite woman put aside her status and prestige and consistently opened her doors to Elisha the messenger of the Most High. She provided boarding and bread, lightening the burden of his ministry. In receiving God’s servant, she hosted the Lord in her home. No one serves God and ends up unpaid; hence, the Lord inspired Elisha to ask what she needed. She had everything but a child of her own. She must have tried but could not get one, and had resigned herself to fate. Praise God, the prophetic lifted her faith above fate, and brought her what money could not buy.
God’s Word brings fertility to circumstances of barrenness; freshness in place of dryness; abundance to replace scarcity, a beam of light in a valley of darkness; rays of hope in depths of hopelessness. Believing God and His Prophetic Word will banish barrenness from your life. People might have branded you barren and unfruitful, but God calls you fruitful and fulfilled. You will bloom and blossom. God will give you a positive turn-around in life. Where you have sown in tears, you will reap in joy (Psa.126:5). As long as the God of Restoration is your God, your destiny is secure; you have a glorious future!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
