WALK IN THE PATH OF PURPOSE

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for GOOD WORKS, which God prepared beforehand that we should WALK in them” – Ephesians 2:10

The Will of God, our Creator, is for us to WALK in the PATH of PURPOSE: “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for GOOD WORKS, which God prepared beforehand that we should WALK in them” (Eph.2:10). Purpose is the path pre-defined for every individual before he or she was born. We are God’s Craftmanship – His Masterpiece – crafted for a reason, referred to as Purpose. Nobody was crafted for evil works. We were all created for GOOD WORKS. Purpose embraces the WORK – the Assignment – we were each created and crafted to carry our and fulfil on earth. This Work has been pre-arranged before we were born. The Work was born the day we were created not the day we were born. In the course of time, we are to discover purpose because it has already been there, and WALK in this destined Path.

Sadly, many individuals carry their purpose till they die without discovering it. Others discover theirs but refuse to do something about it, so they die with it. The matter is not as to whether there is a purpose or not, because every human has a purpose. It is simply ridiculous to think that there is a human existing somewhere without a purpose. Indeed, nothing on this earth is here without a purpose – even the works of human hands; our kitchen utensils, household equipment, tools, instruments, and vehicles. There are times we have thrown away something, thinking to ourselves, ‘this is surely useless to me,’ only for a need to appear, and we went searching for the stuff we had declared useless.

God, the Ultimate Maker and contemporary makers [inventors and manufacturers] never make anything without a purpose. For contemporary makers, the purpose might be inappropriate or imperfect, but there must be one. However, the Most High insists that all He created are only here to do good works. Therefore, if they start doing bad works, they should be summoned for questioning. Moreover, He adds that this good work is there for us to WALK IN them, not just to WORK them out. Purpose is not just an event to momentarily execute; it is our Life.

We are called to do good works. But we are also sent to do THE GOOD WORK for which we were created – unique to us. But this assignment is like a PATH to WALK IN. To the extent that we discover and advance on this path, to that extent we make the expected Impact on earth. We were saved not simply to escape to heaven, but to fulfil our assignment, the specific good work that God pre-planned for us to do. We have been equipped and structured to do it. We will be judged based on this assignment. This is the Path called Purpose. Let’s walk in it as God guides our hearts and lives.
