“This I say then, WALK IN THE SPIRIT, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” – Galatians 5:16
To walk in perfection is to WALK IN THE SPIRIT: “This I say then, WALK IN THE SPIRIT, and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Gal.5:16). Every decision and step we take in life is motivated by something: a habit, appetite, sense of responsibility or desire for success. Our days are determined by either the FLESH or the SPIRIT. The natural default setting of every human being is to let the flesh control; and the flesh is loud, and demanding. It likes to have its own way, and doesn’t give up easily. But the believer in Christ can have control over the flesh. God made man a spirit, with a soul, living in a body (1The.5:23). You – the spirit being – are meant to be in charge of your flesh; not otherwise. You are to WALK IN THE SPIRIT and live on a higher realm, where righteousness rules and victory reigns.
You can walk in the spirit because the Spirit of God lives in you. You may not feel like it, but He is there – strengthening and directing you. God is a Spirit. He wants His children to relate with Him in spirit and in truth (Jh.4:24). God wants you to operate in the spiritual realm more than in this natural world. However discouraged or defeated you might have felt, there is a higher quality of life available as you learn to walk in the spirit. But this transformation does not happen overnight; it takes place from one degree of glory to another and one move of obedience to another.
Here are five steps to walking in the spirit:
Cast off Hindrances: “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, a let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us” (Heb.12:1). You must vigorously get rid of anything that contradicts God’s Word. Fleshly and demonic hindrances include: sexual vices, lusts, drunkenness, greed, envy, hatred, slander, strife, adultery, fornication, idolatry and witchcraft (Col.3:5-6; Gal.5:19). Such weights can slow you down and keep you from reaching the Blessing! Keep your eyes on Jesus (Heb.12:.2). Let the natural world become small in your heart and mind, while the things of God become bigger and bigger (Col.3:1).
Sow to the Spirit: “He who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life” (Gal.6:8). You cannot sow your time to the world and expect to harvest a fulfilled life in the spirit! Give God the tithe of your time. However busy you are, feed your spirit with God’s Word, fellowship with Him, and be built up in faith. You’ll make time for anything if it’s important enough!
Present Your Body as a Living Sacrifice: “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Rom.12:1-2). Lay aside worldly things; practice righteousness; don’t indulge the flesh; and make a daily decision to put on the Spirit!
Pray in the Spirit Daily: “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession” (Rom.8:26). Praying in the spirit is the secret to revelation and gateway into supernatural living (1Cor.14:2).
Obey the Promptings of the Holy Spirit: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God” (Rom.8:14). The Holy Spirit is always speaking to us. He has an answer to every problem you may face. You access His answers by heeding His Voice. How far you’ll go in your walk with God will depend on how promptly you obey Him in the small things!
Taking these steps will lead you into victory over the flesh and dominion over the devil; and usher you into a Spirit-led life of righteousness, peace, joy, and blessing beyond your imagination! You’ll be guided by the Holy Spirit 24/7!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
