WHAT CAN ONE PERSON DO? – NO EXCUSES NOT TO LOVE

Bible Meditation:
John 5:1-9

“Many people who saw the lame man at Bethsatha Pool might have said something like this: “Sure, I see him there. I know it’s a pitiful situation. I feel really sorry for him, but what can I do? I have no power.”

What can one person do? The answer to that is simple – a whole lot! One committed person can do unbelievable things. One person consumed with love can turn the world upside down. Jesus proved that!

…In the musical For Heaven’s Sake, Helen Krower put it like this: “One man can awake, can awaken another… One man up with dawn in his eyes – multiplies.”

…Many years ago, a young man from a very well-to-do family committed himself to loving and living in the spirit of Christ. He founded a religious order rooted in love for people, for God’s creation, for all God’s creatures. His name was Francis. The prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi has come to symbolize the meaning of Christian love. If only we could stop making excuses and give our energies to living its spirit:

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love;

Where there is injury, pardon;

Where there is doubt, faith;

Where there is despair, hope;

Where there is darkness, light;

Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

To be consoled as to console;

To be understood as to understand;

To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving, that we receive;

It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned;

It is in dying, that we are born to eternal life.”

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
