WINNING OVER WASTERS

Bible Meditation:
Isaiah 54: 1-17

Behold, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire, who brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the spoiler to destroy – Isaiah 54:16

“You shall not be afraid of…the destruction that lays waste at noonday” (Psa.91:5-6). The world is full of wasters: merciless, cruel, wicked, and violent wasters – destroyers of destinies. This fallen world harbours diverse kinds of wasters: wasters of lives and souls; wasters of dreams and visions; wasters of times and seasons, of homes and families; of health and well-being; of resources and wealth; of vital organs of minds and body – destiny-vandals and wasters in all facets of existence! If wasters could always have their way, hardly would the righteous ever bloom, blossom or flourish.

Thank God! He created the blacksmith who fabricates the instrument of wastage! The Creator of all defines the limits for all. He did so for Job: “So the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person” (Job 1:12b). Nothing is ever made or manufactured outside His counsel. No weapon – spiritual, natural or physical – exists outside His omniscience. The Lord knows the end of every weapon of wastage or destruction from its beginning; and His response is either to destroy it in His wrath, or transform it by His mercy into an instrument of righteousness.

Such was the case of Saul of Tarsus before he became Paul the Apostle. Hear his confession: For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it” (Gal. 1:13). The Grace and Mercy of God saved and changed this waster of souls into a builder of destinies! God is ultimately positive. Although He can manifest the power to waste wasters, He is first and foremost the Builder of lives. His nature is to create, construct, and fabricate, not to destroy. God will turn your wilderness and wasteland into built cities (Isa.44:26; 51:3).

God holds the two-edged sword: the wicked receive just reward of their evil deeds, but God turns the wastelands of the righteous into living habitations, fruitful fields, and watered gardens (Isa.58:11-12). If you believe, He’ll turn your waste into wealth; your mess into His message; and your misery into His mystery! God will waste every waster, and transform your waste into wealth! No organs of your body, no segment of your soul, no aspect of your life, no dimension of your destiny will ever experience wastage, but you shall be established and built up. You will win over every waster, in Jesus name!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
