WISDOM: GOD’S HIGHER WAYS

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts – Isaiah 55:9

Wisdom is laying hold on God’s higher thoughts and higher ways (Isaiah 55:8-10). God’s Word contains His higher thoughts which lead to His higher ways. Therefore, Wisdom is all about applying the Word of God to produce profits in any given area of life. There is enough in the Word to fulfil your greatest dreams and aspirations. Ordinary thoughts lead to ordinary ways and ends; higher thoughts lead to higher ways that produce glorious ends.

Wisdom is locating God’s way of doing things; doing things in God’s style, using His approach, strategies, and methods. His higher ways are always the best ways to getting results and securing answers. His ways and thoughts are higher and better than man’s. Wisdom therefore comes with high scriptural demands. It demands that you give priority to the Word of God – “this book of the law” (Jos.1:8). It is in doing all that the Word commands that you can experience and enjoy the benefits they promise to deliver. Doing His Word is the bedrock that determines the direction, details, and destination of your life.

God wants you to learn to walk in His “higher” ways of wisdom; higher than the mundane ways of men (Isa. 55:8-9). A person who walks in the higher Ways of Wisdom:

• Knows where to turn at every crossroad of life;
• Knows what to do when faced with life’s challenges;
• Knows how to get the best out of any situation;
• Knows how to maximize his or her potentials;
• Knows how to transform principles and power into performance;
• Knows how to use what he has to get what he needs with honour, dignity and integrity intact;
• Knows how to turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones to success and significance;
• Knows how to build his or her life, home and ministry to become the best that God ordained them to be.
