WISDOM: THE PRINCIPAL PRINCIPLE

WISDOM is the PRINCIPAL thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding – Proverbs 4:7

Principles are the foundations upon which the Structures of Life are built. Wisdom is the Principal Principle. Wisdom – divine intelligence or supernatural enlightenment – is principal among the unlimited resources that God provides for His children in Christ. Wisdom is primary and principal among the fundamental Pillars of Life. Wisdom is a Major and Compulsory Course in the University of Life. Unfortunately, many people get distracted pursuing all kinds of other things, except wisdom. It must be your purpose and privilege to consider the wonderful opportunity of wisdom and seek it with all your heart and might.

What does it mean that “Wisdom is the principal thing”? It means: Wisdom is the Key to Life. It is the gateway to whatever provisions God has made for each of His Kingdom children. Wisdom is a vitally important matter in life. It is the power of right judgment – the ability to choose the appropriate solution for any situation. It is to know how to think, speak, and act to please both God and men throughout the Journey of life. Wisdom is the basis for victorious living. Without wisdom, people make choices that bring pain, penury, trouble, regrets, and even death. With wisdom, people make choices that produce peace, prosperity, well-being, wealth, and good success.

Your future depends on your intimacy with Wisdom. Proverbs 4:5-6,8 admonish: “Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you…. Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you to honour, when you embrace her.” Wisdom therefore guarantees preservation, protection, promotion, and distinction. Finding wisdom brings life and God’s favour; neglecting it wrongs one’s own soul and brings death (Pro.8:35-36) Wisdom is the Principal Principle – God for it; embrace her!
