WISDOM FOR WINNING BY GOD’S WORD

“WISDOM is the PRINCIPAL THING; therefore GET WISDOM” – Proverbs 4:7

Beloved, Welcome to the Month of WISDOM for WINNING by GOD’S WORD: “WISDOM is the principal thing; therefore GET WISDOM. and in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her” (Pro.4:7-8). WISDOM is the principal Instrument for WINNING in Life, and it comes primarily by GOD’S WORD. Wisdom is the Principal Ingredient for Winning in all dimensions of destiny! Wisdom is the divine gift that enables us to make the right choices and decisions in life, to walk aright; and discern between right and wrong. Knowledge is Power; Wisdom is the ability to apply that power the right way. One can be educated, enlightened, or intelligent, but without Wisdom, it’s all in vain; and any purported performance, success, lifting, promotion, or glory is hollow.

Wisdom is about Divine Ways: God’s approaches and strategies of perceiving and doing things. David prayed: “Show me YOUR WAYS, O Lord; teach me YOUR PATHS” (Psa.25:4). God is willing and able to show, teach, and lead us in His Wisdom Ways, to “WIN” in all aspects of life: spiritual, marital, material, social, physical, professional, and ministerial. He has given us His Word and Holy Spirit to guide us: “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him” (Eph.1:17).

Wisdom from God’s Word is the Pedestal for Winning in Life: “Let your heart retain my words; keep my commands, and LIVE” (v.4). Wisdom, when treasured, preserves, protects, and guards: “Do not forsake her, and she will PRESERVE you; love her, and she will KEEP you” (v.6). Wisdom promotes to honour when we cherish and embrace her: “Exalt her, and she will PROMOTE you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her” (v.8). Wisdom dignifies and decorates destinies: “She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you” (v.9). Wisdom enhances Longevity: “Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many” (v.10). And it guarantees stability and speed in life: “When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble” (v.12).

The Way of Wisdom leads “in right paths” (v.11). As we commence these meditations on Wisdom for Winning by God’s Word, may we encounter the depths of the Riches of His Wisdom and Knowledge: “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the WISDOM and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgements and His WAYS past finding out” (Rom.11:33). May the Lord give to us “the Spirit of WISDOM and Revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of our understanding being enlightened” (Eph.1:17-18). May we “be filled with the knowledge of His will in ALL WISDOM and spiritual understanding” (Col.1:9b). May the Word of Christ dwell in us “richly in ALL WISDOM” (Col.3:16a).

As we cherish and meditate in God’s Word and encounter His Winning Wisdom, we shall no longer make foolish decisions or take steps into regret or destruction. His Wisdom will preserve us from despair, defeat, and death; promote us to our prepared places in destiny, empower us to ride on our high places; and cause us to shine, bloom, and blossom with dignified and decorated destines, in Jesus Name!
