…You have MAGNIFIED YOUR WORD above all Your name.” – Psalm 138:2b
Divine Exaltation is significant among the WONDERS OF GOD’S WORD: "I will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth: for You have MAGNIFIED YOUR WORD above all Your name." (Psa.138:2). This is a striking and almost frightening Wonder of God’s Word! God magnifies His Word above all His names! Although David worshipped God and praised both His Name and His Truth, he affirmed that God had magnified His Word above all. Christians are sometimes accused of worshiping the Bible. No! We worship the God who wrote the Bible. And He Who alone deserves our worship declared the exaltation of His Name and His Word!
We’re therefore in order when we revere God’s Word, which is a revelation of His Name – of Who He is! When we appreciate the Supremacy of His Word, it’ll play out in our lives as we meditate on the Word, pray the Word, and live by the Word. God designed for His children to experience a depth of intimacy with Him through His Word. It deserves the most prominent place in our lives and schedules. Waking up in the morning, it’s right and proper to acknowledge the supremacy of God’s Word, listen to His Word, and ask Him to lead us by His Word. This is supremely important. Whoever meditates on God’s Law – His Word – day and night, is blessed (Psa.1: 1-3).
The Bible truly is a unique and wonderful book – a book full of wonders. Let’s consider few unique wonders of God’s Magnified Word:
The Word of God is authoritatively creative and will outlive heaven and earth: “For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast” (Psa.33:8-9); “Forever, O Lord, YOUR WORD is settled in heaven” (Psa. 119:89). God’s Word is eternally established, and will bring establishment, stability, and settlement to every life that’s built on it!
The Word of God travels: “Then the WORD of the LORD came to him, saying” (1Kgs.17:2). God sends His Word on divine errands, and it never returns to Him until it has finished the assignment: “For as the rain come down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the Sower and bread to the eater, so shall MY WORD be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isa.55: 10-11). And when the Word arrives, it does some special things:
God’s Word heals and delivers: “He sent HIS WORD and HEALED them, and DELIVERED them from their destructions” (Psa.107:2). Nothing heals and delivers better than God’s Word: “For they are LIFE to those who find them, and HEALTH to all their flesh” (Pro.4:22).
God’s Word transforms: “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being TRANSFORMED...” (2Cor.3:18a). The Bible has the power to change lives; make saints out of infidels, elevates paupers from the dunghill to sit with princes, and restore broken lives and relationships.
God’s Word attracts His Favour: “But on this one will I look: On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who TREMBLES at MY WORD” (Isa.66:2).
God’s Word encourages: “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you” (Isa. 41:13).
God’s Word comforts: “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” says your God. “Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry our to her, that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins” (Isa.40: 1-2); “For He Himself has SAID, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb.13:5).
God’s Word defends: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is the WORD of GOD” (Eph.6:17). His Word doesn’t need defending. As we preach the Word, it will defend both itself and the preacher!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
