Bible Meditation:
Philippians 2: 1-11

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the NAME which is ABOVE EVERY NAME” Philippians 2:9

There are infinite blessings and WONDERS IN THE NAME of JESUS: “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the NAME which is ABOVE EVER NAME, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” (Phil.2:9-10). The Name of Jesus is powerful because of His Exaltation. Names are significant. A name is not only a word or term that distinguishes a character; it is a symbol of authority, which means that it is defined by the character or authority that’s behind it. When we call a person by their name, we are, in a sense, proclaiming the meaning behind that name as well. God renamed several of His children in the Bible to align with the way He viewed them and their calling on earth.

The reason the Name of Jesus is powerful is the One who answers it. The One whom the Name represents has been given all authority in heaven and in earth (Mt.28:18). What we proclaim when we call upon or speak the Name of Jesus is His pre-eminence and superiority over all things! He is before all things, and by Him, all things consist. Jesus Christ is the Name by which all things were created. He’s the greatest of all; highly exalted above the heavens and His glory above all the earth!

The Wonder of Salvation is in Jesus’ Name: “There is NO OTHER NAME under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12b). God assigned His Son the name JESUS, meaning “The Lord of Salvation,” representing Who He is and what He came on earth to do: “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins” (Mt.1:21). Romans 10:13 says, “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The Greek word for salvation – “sozo,” denotes a process of being saved, healed, delivered, rescued, set free, protected, and becoming completely whole and preserved – saved from sin, self, flesh, Satan, the world, and God’s wrath.

It is only in Jesus’ name that we receive redemption: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (Jh.14:6). Jesus alone has paved the way to bring us back to the Heavenly Father. In His Name, we are cleansed, renewed, transformed, redeemed, and have access and passageway to God the Father.

There are Wonders of Answered Prayers in Jesus’ Name: “And whatever you ask IN MY NAME, that I will do, that the Father may be gloried in the Son. If you ask anything IN MY NAME, I will do it” (Jh.14:13-14). The Name of Jesus is our powerful instrument in prayer.

In Jesus’ name, darkness flees and every chain is loosened (Mt.16:19). Christ came to earth to vanquish the sting of death and destruction. This death-defeating power is still at work amongst us who believe, when we, by faith decree the name of Jesus: “The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!’” (Lk.10:17).

In Jesus’ name, genuine signs and wonders are performed for the sake of bringing God Glory and expanding His Kingdom on earth (Acts 4:30).

In Jesus’ name, we receive the Holy Spirit: “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38).

In Jesus’ name, we are cleansed, sanctified and justified: “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God” (1Cor.6:11).

In Jesus’ name, we inherit the gift of eternal life: “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life” (1Jh.5:13a).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
