“That you would WALK WORTHY of God who CALLS you into His own kingdom and glory” – 1 Thessalonians 2:12
The Believer in Christ is called and potentially equipped for a WORTHY WALK with God in His Kingdom: “You are witnesses, and God also, how DEVOUTLY and JUSTLY and BLAMELESSLY we BEHAVED ourselves among you who believe; as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would WALK WORTHY of God who CALLS you into His own kingdom and glory” (1The.2: 10-12). Our calling into God’s Kingdom and Glory is validated by a Worthy Walk in and with Him. The Lord’s prayer in Matthew 6:10 – “Your Kingdom come” – has been answered. Colossians 1:13 says: “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the KINGDOM of the Son of His love.”
The Kingdom of God is a real kingdom operating now on earth, of which we are a part: “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect” (Heb.12:22-23). We are not on our way to Zion; we are in Zion now! We’ve not only been called into the Kingdom of God, but unto His glory: “To which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the GLORY of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2The.2:14). We were called to obtain glory – an eternal Glory – that challenges, difficult times, and trials of faith cannot terminate, as long as we WALK WORTHY of GOD!
This Glory is eternal – not subject to circumstances: “But may the God of all grace, who has CALLED US to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you” (1 Pet. 5:10). A Worthy Walk in God gives expression to His Glory in our world. Salvation in Christ is a calling to God’s Kingdom and Glory – His Dominion! To walk is to: progress, advance by setting foot upon, tread with the feet, and make due use of opportunities. No devil can halt our Walk: “Behold, I give you the authority to TRAMPLE on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Lk.10:19a). Paul wrote: “And the God of peace will CRUSH Satan under your feet shortly” (Rom.16:20a).
Ephesians 4:1 and Colossians 1:10 also emphasize this calling to a Worthy Walk: “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to WALK WORTHY of the CALLING with which you were CALLED”; “That you may WALK WORTHY of the Lord, FULLY PLEASING HIM, being FRUITFUL in every good work, and INCREASING in the knowledge of God.” A Worthy Walk is one that fully pleases God, makes us fruitful in every good work, and increase in His Knowledge. Obviously, walking worthy topped Paul’s list of priorities in his relationship with the Lord and he led his mentees to do likewise. A key prayer of every Believer should be: “Lord, help me to Walk Worthy of Your Calling!” The inference of this prayer is for God to be so pleased with our lives that at the end we shall hear Him say, “Well done (put your name)”! Walking worthy of God’s Calling is an assurance of hearing those words.
A Worthy Walk is attainable only from our “IN CHRIST”! This means that at some point we had an encounter with Christ where we said ‘Yes’ to His invitation to walk with Him, and began the incredible journey. Now, we’re to consistently walk worthy – worthily, properly, in a manner worthy – of God, His Calling, His Kingdom, and His Glory. In Christ, we are positioned to crush the head of our spiritual enemy – Satan and all of his dark powers – walking victoriously (Gen.3:15). In Christ we can walk worthily – devoutly, justly, and blamelessly – pleasing the Lord in behaviour, conduct, words, and deeds, manifesting the Glory of His Kingdom!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
