Bible Meditation:
James 1:2-12
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience” – James 1: 2-3

Believers can experience JOY in DIVINE PROCESSING: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing” (Jam.1:2-4). Joy is a choice we make (v.2). We can rejoice, knowing that God has a plan for every pain. He uses trials to build our endurance and make us complete. While we typically pray for Him to take away all problems, troubles, and trials, He often uses them to grow our character. As Romans 5: 3-4 affirms, we glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance, character.

Most people feel sad, angry, and confused when unexpected troubles hit their lives. But God tells us to respond differently: count it all joy. This sounds impossible until we understand Divine Processing. God is not hurting us; He is growing us. The hard times we face are actually tools in the Hand of our loving Father. Just like a weightlifter must push heavy weights to grow strong muscles, Believers must face trials to grow strong faith. Joy does not come from the trouble itself. Joy comes from knowing that the trouble has an assignment to accomplish.

The Testing of Faith is not meant to fail us, but to prove the genuineness of our faith and to produce patience (v.3). It is much more precious than gold that perishes (1Pet.1:7). Testing produces the fortitude needed for future blessings. Therefore, we must let patience finish its work (v.4). This is the core of divine processing: Staying under the pressure without giving up, in order to become mature, complete, and perfect. If we do not understand the process, we can ask God for wisdom. He gives it generously, but we must trust Him without doubting (vv.5-8). The end goal of the processing is the Crown of Life (v.12). Whoever stands firm under trial will receive the crown that God has promised.

Finding Joy in the tough terrain of Divine Processing calls for a change of mindset. Rather than ask, "Why is this happening to me?" we ask, "What is God building in me?" God cares more about character than comfort. He wants us holy more than He wants us happy. The pressure felt today is only developing the power needed tomorrow. Instead of making short cuts, we should let the process finish. Trying to escape a trial early can stunt our spiritual growth. When life gets hard, we do not just pray for the pain to stop, but for the wisdom to learn the lesson.

In Jesus’ Name, I affirm that:

I choose to count it all joy when I face different trials knowing that God is using the hard season to test and strengthen my faith.

I am letting patience finish its perfect work in me. I am becoming mature, growing stronger, wiser, and closer to Him everyday.

I receive God's Wisdom to guide me through Divine Processing. I will not doubt His goodness while in the middle of storms.

The current pressures are producing unstoppable perseverance in me. I am standing firm in trials, to receive the crown of life.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
