Bible Meditation:
Genesis 1: 26-31

“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; HAVE DOMINION over…” – Genesis 1:28a

Acknowledging God as the FIRST PROFESSIONAL guarantees Dominion and Impact: “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; HAVE DOMINION over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth” (Gen.1:28). The Creator and Maker of all things was the Initiator of many human endeavours, professions, and careers. We often do not realize that God is the Originator of so many things, including the human professions that we know of today. Before these jobs or careers had names, God had already done them.

God is bigger and broader than religion! We cannot limit the Master of the Universe to religious matters and assume that our faith is separate from our social, vocational, and business lives. God does not only expect those who serve Him to work in a church, or be ordained ministers or missionaries, as desirable and eternally profitable as that may be. God transcends religion and spirituality. Though God is a Spirit, He created and controls beyond the spirit realms – the mental and physical as well. God had modelled many human skills and accomplishments, confirming His Purposefulness, Creativity, and Versatility:

God is Purposeful: He has a reason and purpose for everything He does. It could be to reveal Himself – His Nature, Character, and Power – and it is always for His Glory.

God is the Ultimate Creative: He understands our creative instincts, dreams, and gifts, many of which He put in us; and He is willing and able to equip, teach, and train us to also be personally and professionally creative.

God is Versatile: We are made in His Image and likeness; hence, He can call on us to do different things in different seasons of our lives. We can do more with God’s help that we realize. We can accomplish great things through the power of the Holy Spirit. God seeks for surrendered vessels who will allow Him to work in and through them, to achieve His Purposes and Plans.

Regardless of our career trajectory and the motives behind such – the financial benefits, the network provided, the prestige, or just job security – we must get God involved. He is mindful of what we do and aware of what it takes to do it. He needs us to surrender our will and allow His light shine through us. He wants everything we do to be about Him. God has already done so many of the things the world believes He wouldn’t understand. By His Grace, starting with tomorrow’s devotional, we shall examine on the basis of scriptures, some of the professions God authored, and in which He wants to empower us for IMPACT!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
