“PROPHESY to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the WORD of the LORD!” – Ezekiel 37:4b
It is fitting to round off the month’s theme of Transformation by meditating on PROPHETIC TRANSFORMATION: “Again He said to me, “PROPHESY to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the WORD of the LORD!” (Eze.37:4). A transformation is a complete or major change in someone or something. And the most phenomenal manifestations of divine transformation often come through encounters with God’s Prophetic Word. Ezekiel 37 reveals the amazing power in the Prophetic or Spoken Word. It's not enough to know and believe the Word; we must speak and prophesy the Word of Transformation. Everything, every person, problem, and situation hears and responds to the Spoken Word.
Situations or seasons of life can be like a valley of dry bones, scattered with the carcasses of career, marriages, homes, and hope. Trials, tragedies, and traumas suck the very marrow from the bones, leaving individuals, families, groups, or nations devastated by despair and hopelessness, barely able to function. Satan’s parade of horrible assaults leaves hearts hollow and people lifeless like a pile of dry bones, similar to the scene that Ezekiel saw: “Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were VERY MANY in the open valley; and indeed they were VERY DRY” (v.2) – multiplied levels of degeneration and dryness! Then the Big Question thundered before Ezekiel: “Son of man, can these bones live?” (v.3b).
Ezekiel’s acknowledgement of the Lord God as all-knowing, released the promise of resurrection, revival, and abundant life. God didn’t tell Ezekiel to complain, lament, or weep about the hopeless situation the bones were in, but to PROPHESY – to speak His Word into the hopeless situation. Worrying or weeping won’t reduce the size of the problem. The Word of God can eradicate it! He breathes into the dankest, darkest corners of souls to infuse hope, joy, and peace. He reinvigorates lifeless emotions, restores broken hearts and damaged minds. No matter how parched our hearts feel, God can breathe new life into them. However hopeless our lot in life may be, the God of transformation will restore all that has been lost. As we bring our life’s dry bones before Him, He’ll breathe fresh life into every deadened fibre of our being.
The Word of God is His Power for Transformation. The Word delivers from spiritual blindness (2 Cor. 4:4). The Word brings about total change or turn around in lives and situations: “it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes” (Rom.1:16). “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Heb.4:12). This was what happened in the valley: Dry bones came back to life through the penetrating Power of God’s Prophetic, Spoken Word. Not only human beings hear and respond to the Word; bones do, sinews do, situations do, and demons do. Everything that is dry in our lives – spiritual, physical, marital, or financial – will hear God’s Word, respond and be restored.
The Power in God’s Word intervened in a hopeless situation, to transform Lazarus from a degenerating corpse to a living being (Jh.11:43-44). Satan tried to truncate his destiny, but Jesus redeemed him from the tomb by the power of the Word. The grave heard the Living Word and released Lazarus. We’re commanded to command mountains (Mt.17:20). Mountains of delay, opposition, obstruction, sickness, barrenness, poverty and stagnation will move at the command of God’s Word. The fig tree heard and obeyed Jesus’ command (Mk.11:12-14, 20). At the Word, every tree our Heavenly Father has not planted – confusion, discouragement, strife, disunity, sin, failure and barrenness – shall wither from the roots (Mt.15:13).
Releasing Prophetic Words of Life will turn seeming hopelessness and impossibilities into realities: “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God” (Lk. 18:27). May God’s Breath of Life released through His Prophetic Words perfect Positive Transformations in our individual and family lives, careers, ministries, and in our Nations, in Jesus Name!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
