FAITHFUL STEWARDSHIP

“His lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things…” – Mathew 25:21a

In God’s Kingdom, Productivity and Profit are never accidental; they are byproducts of FAITHFUL STEWARDSHIP: “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord” (Matt.25:21). True Kingdom Productivity and Profit flow from Faithful Stewardship – active management and multiplications, rather than fear-based preservation. With a divine idea, strategy, and open door, productivity reaches its critical execution phase in stewardship.

In today’s meditation passage, our Lord Jesus delivered the Parable of the Talents. A "talent" was a massive unit of currency, representing immense value entrusted to servants by a departing master, distributed according to each servant's ability, and expecting multiplication. Verses 16 and 17 show the first two servants immediately putting their resources to work, yielding a hundred percent return. In contrast, the third servant allowed fear and a flawed perception of the master to paralyse him, burying his talent in the earth (vv.24-25).

Verse 21 reveals the heart of Divine Stewardship. God does not measure success by the volume of what we possess, but by our fidelity to what has been entrusted to us. God is ready to perform wonders through our lives, but His performance is unlocked by our stewardship. True Faithfulness moves us from being a manager of a “few things” to becoming a ruler over “many things." Many people view stewardship merely as maintenance – safekeeping what they have so they don't lose it. The Parable of the Talents however, completely redefines this concept. The master did not praise the servant who safely buried his talent to preserve it. In fact, he called him wicked and slothful.

Biblical Stewardship is not passive conservation; it is active multiplication; taking the raw material God puts in our hands – whether capital, time, talent, or a business concept – and purposely growing it. Stewardship operates on a basic law: capacity precedes promotion. God tests our faithfulness with small amounts before He trusts us with significant expansion. If we cannot be trusted with a little, we will not be trusted with much (Lk.16:10). If we cannot manage a small budget or organize a small team, we lack the capacity to handle global weights.

We are called to treat God-given resources not as personal property, but as Kingdom capital: "As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as GOOD STEWARDS of the MANIFOLD GRACE of GOD” (1Pet.4:10). When we view ourselves as managers rather than owners, it changes how we invest our profits, how we treat others, and how we value time.

In Jesus Name, I declare that:

My hidden potentials are coming alive. I will not bury my talents. I will not waste my divine potentials and opportunities.

I receive Grace for consistency and uncompromised faithfulness, and Wisdom to create value and bring Kingdom returns.

The spirits of fear and stagnation are broken from my life. I receive the supernatural capacity to multiply every resource in my hands.

I am moving swiftly from the realm of the 'few' to the realm of 'many.' I will never be called unprofitable; my impact will be eternal.
