And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation – Daniel 4:34
Our meditation scripture today describes how King Nebuchadnezzar who once ruled Babylon, one of the world’s greatest empires, suffered severe losses due to pride and disobedience. The consequences of his arrogance were that he became insane, lost his throne, was driven from society, and became like a wild beast in the forest. When in His Mercy, the Great Restorer decided to remember the king-turned-beast, He restored him physically, mentally, socially, and back to his throne.
The God who restores fallen kings to royalty also restores strayed souls to sanity. He who restored Nebuchadnezzar also rescued the demoniac in the country of Gadara (Mk.5: 1-20). We are not told the root of his wretched existence, but this tormented soul was possessed by an unclean spirit, Legion, and his demons. He resided among the tombs, was violent, uncontrollable, and self-destructive. His one-in-a-lifetime encounter with Jesus made the world of a difference to his drifting destiny. He was swiftly and radically snatched from the jaws of darkness and transformed into a Decapolis missionary.
Upon his restoration Nebuchadnezzar praised, honoured, and affirmed the dominion of the Most High God. Upon his deliverance, the man from Gadara did likewise; he “began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel” (Mk.5:20). The tormented soul became the Testifier of God’s marvelous Restoration! Have you lost anything to carelessness, disobedience, stubbornness or rebellion? Have you toyed with the fire of sin and ended up burnt?
There is a way out: repent, flee totally from sin, make your ways right and rededicate yourself to follow and serve God with all your heart. Commit to obey God in every area of your life. However severe the situation may be; however miserable your past has been; however hopeless the future may seem; the Merciful Restorer shall restore you in all areas you have suffered losses or experienced failure. What you thought was lost will return to you. Draw near to God and please Him daily. Live a life of thanksgiving. Put on the attitude of gratitude. Walk in the testimony of Restoration – from torment to triumph!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
