PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING

Pray without ceasing – 1 Thessalonians 5:17

“Was this exhortation to the Christians at Thessalonica merely a counsel of perfection? Did Paul really consider it an attainable ideal to “pray always with all prayer and supplication”? (Eph. 6:18).

CREATIVE PRAYING: WHATEVER…ANYTHING

God…calls into existence the things that do not exist – Rom. 4:17

“It would appear that God acted on the principle of faith in the creation of the world. When He said to non-existent light, “let there be light”, there was light. It is this same kind of creative faith we are called upon to exercise, the very faith of God. “Now faith means…being certain of things we cannot see” (Heb.11:1, Phillips), and this conception opens to us a limitless realm of possibility.

THE PARADOX OF PRAYER

Prayer is a paradox. No spiritual exercise is such a blending of complexity and simplicity.

KINGDOM TEAMWORK

“…God’s wisdom in the structure of Israel is something that can help us in the New Testament Church. Revelation 1:6 says that we will be kings and priests unto our God. In Israel, kings and priests were two distinct and different offices…

DEVILISH DISTRACTIONS

“…At one time or another, most believers have experienced distractions, bondage, and oppression sent from the enemy.

The devil’s distractions focus our attention and energy on worldly matters instead of spiritual issues. If we are distracted, then we aren’t going to cause Satan much trouble, and we aren’t going to do God much good, either…

THE COST OF VICTORY

“Most Christians would like to have more power in their lives and to see more victory. At the Olympics, we all enjoy seeing the power of the weight lifters, the pole vaulters, the gymnasts and the runners.

It takes Power to have Victory!

It is exhilarating when we see someone come through a challenge as a real victor. Our hearts thrill with such an individual as he throws up his arms in triumph.

DARING PRAYING

Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you – John 16:23

“How tame and insipid is much modern praying – a respectable asking for a minimum expenditure and exhibition of divine power. Seldom do our petitions rise above the level of natural thought of previous experience. Do we ever dare to pray for the unprecedented? The whole atmosphere of the age tends to make us minimize what we can expect of God, and yet His Word reveals that the extent of legitimate expectation is literally without limits.

THE RISK OF DARING TO BE DIFFERENT

“Life itself is a conglomerate of risks from a toddler’s step to a giant step on the moon. The challenge of risk is epitomized by the motto of the British SAS (Special Air Service) which says ‘who dares wins.’

LEARNING IS NOT CHANGING

“…Learning is not changing. Acquiring knowledge doesn’t automatically renew your mind. More knowledge of the psychological and sociological circumstances of your past or present won’t necessarily change your life.

COMMITMENT: TOYING OR TOTAL?

“We have here a quickly drawn portrait of three men toying with discipleship, but not totally committed. Each in his own way wants to put certain conditions on that commitment. But it won’t work, will it? The call is to unconditional commitment, commitment with no strings attached!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
