GOD OF LITTLE DETAILS

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered – Matthew 10:30

“Is God concerned about the details of your life? Does He care about the ‘little things’? Maybe you’ve shaped words like those in your heart – if not on your lips – during the course of a busy day at home or the office

Piles of dishes need to be done. The typewriter runs out of ribbon. The washer leaks a big soapy puddle on the floor – and you’ve got people coming in an hour. Your best friend seemed cold on the phone and you can’t figure out why…Little things.

THE WORTHLESSNESS OF WORRY

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you – 1 Peter 5: 6-7

CHOOSE TO LAUGH OR LAMENT

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice – Philippians 4:4

“There is nothing more destructive to our spirits than seething resentment. It’s a spiritual cancer. It can ruin our lives, it can make us sick…The choice is ours – we can encourage or discourage; we can soothe or seethe!

STOP WORRYING

Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? – Matthew 6:31

“…Worry is like a rocking chair; it will give you something to do but it won’t get you anywhere.

We have moments absolutely free from worry. These brief respites are called panic!

These sayings about worry make me laugh, but the following statements on worry make me think.

o George Muller said, “The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith. The beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety.”

THE DIGNITY OF CHOICE

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD – Joshua 24:15

God has gifted You and I with the dignity of choice. It is through choice, not chance that we forge our futures. CHOICE, not chance, determines destiny.

GOD’S PEACE FOLLOWS POSITIVE CHOICES

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus – Philippians 4:7

SWEET SLEEP

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep – Psalm 127:2

“Solomon wrote, “In vain you rise up early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat – for [God] grants sleep to those He loves” (Psalm 127:2).

There’s something wonderfully significant about this psalm, something easily missed unless we understand that the Sabbath for Israel began, not on Saturday morning, but on Friday evening at bedtime.

FROM CONTROL TO CONTENTMENT

The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot – Psalm 16:5

“At all times, in all circumstances, Christ is able and willing to provide the strength we need to be content. Contentment occurs when Christ’s strength is infused into my weak body, soul, and spirit. To infuse means to pour, fill, soak, or extract. Every morning when I dip my herbal tea into boiling water, I witness infusion.

HIS REST FOR YOUR STRESS

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made – Genesis 2:3

“…Jeremiah took his stand in the city gates of Jerusalem, where he could be heard by all who walked by, and proclaimed this message: “This is what the LORD says: ‘Be careful not to carry a load on the Sabbath day or bring it through the gates of Jerusalem. Do not bring a load out of your houses or do any work on the Sabbath…’” (Jeremiah 17:21-22).

LEARNING CONTENTMENT – AN INSIDE ISSUE

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content – Philippians 4:11

“Contentment happens on the inside… Most of us base our contentment on our circumstances, on our feelings, or on other people. However, true contentment is separate from our circumstances. Contentment is a state of the HEART, not a state of AFFAIRS.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
