THE POTTER’S HAND

Who among all these does not know that the HAND of the LORD has done this – Job 12: 9

THE POTTER’S WATER

That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the WASHING of WATER by the WORD – Ephesians 5:26

THE POTTER’S WHEELS

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord – 2 Corinthians 3:18

THE POTTER’S PATIENCE

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain – James 5:7

THE POTTER’S PERCEPTION

For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust – Psalm 103:14

THE POTTER’S PROCESS: HIS INSTRUMENTS

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us – 2 Corinthians 4: 7

The Potters’ Process includes not only the Ingredients, but also the Implements. The potter uses certain implements to transform the clay into its useful state. The following four key instruments have important connotations for us:

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty – 1 Corinthians 1: 27

THE POTTER’S PURPOSE

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS PURPOSE – Romans 8:28

THE POTTER’S PRINCIPLE

“O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?” says the Lord. “Look, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! – Jeremiah 18:6

THE POTTER AND THE CLAY

But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter; and all we are the work of Your hand – Isaiah 64:8
