Bible Meditation:
2 Corinthians 3: 1-18

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord – 2 Corinthians 3:18

The prophet said, “Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a WORK ON THE WHEELS” (Jer.18:3).  Typically, when the potter works, he sits between two stone wheels that are joined by a shaft. With his feet, he spins the large, lower wheel mounted upon the upright shaft, which turns a smaller upper wheel, where the clay is placed. The potter works the clay on the top wheel as it turns, shaping it into his desired form.

Our lives are works on the wheels, works in progress, being fashioned by the Potter’s hand. The earthly wheel (lower wheel) is all we can see down here – the realm of Time. More importantly, the Heavenly wheel (higher wheel) is the bigger picture of our eternal destinies – the invisible realm of Eternity that the Father sees and understands. We are creatures of eternity passing through time; and “our light affliction which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2Cor.4:17-18).

The wheels symbolize the circumstances and phases of life; the cycles of Times and Seasons, into which God ordered creation: And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years” (Gen.1:14). The Perfect Potter is the Controller of Times and Seasons: “And He changes the times and the seasons…” (Dan.2:21a). Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Times and Seasons are God’s ‘processing cycles’ – the Potter’s wheels.

The Potter controls the speed of the wheels; they only rotate at His will. This infers that God is ever in control of our lives, times and destinies. The Psalmist proclaimed: “My times are in Your hand…” (Psa.31:15). Your times are in His hand. He can restore to you the wasted years. He is still in control, regardless of what you are facing. The wheels are God’s agencies of change. Change is a priority in God’s Will for your life. It is His will that you keep on changing, growing, maturing, and conforming to the image of Jesus (Rom.8:29). “We all…are changed…” (2Cor.3:18). God’s Power can change anybody, regarding anything that needs to be changed. Are you yielding to Him to wrought you as a work on the wheels?

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
