EQUIPPED FOR GOD’S PERFECT WILL

Make you complete in every good work TO DO HIS WILL, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen Hebrews 13:21

GOD’S WILL: KNOW, UNDERSTAND AND DO IT

Of the children of Issachar who had UNDERSTANDING of the times, to KNOW what Israel ought to DO, their chiefs were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their command – 1 Chronicles 12:32

There are three vital responses that God expects from His children concerning His Will – His Revealed and Desired Will. These are: to KNOW, UNDERSTAND, and DO His Will. Many teachings emphasize and stop only at the level of knowing God’s Will. Let’s meditate on some scriptures relating to these three responses:

GOD’S WILL IS PROGRESSIVE

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way Psalm 37: 23

GOD’S WILL: DECREE OR COMMAND?

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance being predestined according to the Purpose of Him who works ALL THINGS according to the counsel of HIS WILL Ephesians 1:11

GOD’S WILL: PERFECT OR IMPERFECT?

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose Romans 8:28

GOD’S WILL: PERFECT OR PERMISSIVE?

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and PERFECT WILL OF GOD Romans 12:2

GOD’S WILL: GENERAL OR SPECIFIC?

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles; I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood – Galatians 1:15-16

GOD’S WILL: DETERMINED OR DESIRED?

And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been DETERMINED, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed! – Luke 22: 22

The Will of God can be perceived as either His Decretive, Determined Will or His Prescriptive, Desired Will. The former – boule (Greek) – is His firm, inflexible, inviolable, immutable, irrevocable, and predetermined Purpose. The latter – thelema – is His flexible desire for us, which is subject to human response or change.

GOD’S WILL: SECRET OR REVEALED?

The SECRET things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are REVEALED belong to us and to our children forever, that we may DO all the words of this law Deuteronomy 29:29

THE WILL OF GOD

Your kingdom come. YOUR WILL be done on earth as it is in heaven– Mathew 6:10 (NKJV)

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
