Bible Meditation:
Psalm 108: 1-13

Awake, lute and harp! I WILL AWAKEN THE DAWN – Psalm 108:2

God wants us to go beyond believing Him for the Dawn. We can, by His Grace, AWAKEN the DAWN of JOY: “Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the DAWN” (Psa.108:2); “Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I WILL AWAKEN THE DAWN” (Psa.57:8). God is challenging us to rise up to awaken the dawn and see His breakthrough over the circumstances of life! King David, would arise very early before sunrise, and muse in his mind while preparing for the battle ahead in the day. There, in the quietness of the night, God would give him songs; and before the dawn began to break, music would be heard coming from the palace, waking up the soldiers with the dawn, hearing the sound of the triumph that they were going to enter into that day! Joy comes in the morning!

God’s armies are mustered at daybreak: “Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your power; in the beauties of holiness, from the WOMB of the MORNING You have the dew of Your youth” (Psa.110:3). The army assembles dressed in the beauty of holiness, arrayed with the glorious robes and garments of priestly splendour: “from the womb of the morning” – the Dawn! It doesn’t matter how dark your night has been, or how desperately despondent you’ve felt, victory will soon dawn in all of your life’s battles.

Jesus rose from the dead in the morning! For every Good Friday there is a resurrection Sunday! You might have been going through your personal Calvary, where you feel that God has forsaken you. There is a resurrection waiting for you. The morning belongs to Jesus. He always brings the morning with Him. Then, His prophetic songs will rise up on your inside; and you shall sing the dawn into reality. You will awaken the dawn of Joy! Once upon a time, David queried his soul “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me?” Then by revelation, he commanded his soul: “Hope in God, for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance” (Psa.42:5). He knew that God will ultimately come through for him! For, God is as good as His Word.

In the middle of night-time experiences with darkness on every side, wondering if morning would ever come, God says, “Sing! Sing!” Paul and Silas at night-time in the darkest part of the prison began to sing praises to God. Let the songs of the Lord rise up inside you in the night-time; be quickened to awaken the dawn! Know that victory is always won in the secret place. David won his battles on his bed of praise ahead of the battlefields! The battle is won in the secret place ahead of the public place! It’s time to rise up to decide and declare: “I will arise and awaken the dawn”.  Wait and watch for the morning. You might have been holding onto God’s promises for long, through the darkest times; don’t give up: “I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I do hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning – yes, more than those who watch for the morning” (Psa. 130:5-6).

“God has spoken in His holiness” (v.7).  That’s why David got up early to sing, muster the palace musicians and wake everybody up with the noise of a psalm, lute and harp – because he’d heard from the Lord! He knew even before he set foot out of the palace to get ready for battle, that he had the victory (vv.7-11)! He understood spiritually that God is the God of battles: “Through our God we shall do valiantly. It is He who shall tread down our enemies” (v.:13). We need to know how to awaken the dawn of Joy! We need to look over our Manasseh, Gilead, and Philistia – over every situation of enemy control and domination in our lives, and be able to prophesy in the language of faith, “I will awaken my dawn!” Whatever I’m facing, God is with me; so, none can be against me!”

Lord, inspire me to always arise early, sing in the language of faith, and AWAKEN the DAWN of JOY and Victory, in Jesus’ Name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
