Bible Meditation:
Deuteronomy 28: 1-14

The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to BLESS ALL the WORK of YOUR HAND” Deuteronomy 28:12a

Global and Eternal Impact are attributable to BLESSED HANDS: The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to BLESS ALL the WORK of YOUR HAND. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow” (Dt.28:12). The 12th verse of this Blessing chapter focuses on the Work of our hands. God does not bless in a vacuum. He doesn’t bless idleness or indolence. Yes, He opens His good treasure, the heavens, to enrich the lands of our lives, but these divine releases can only be enjoyed in reality to the extent that our hands are productively and profitably engaged. The Lord will send rain and bless all the work that we do. He appoints us to be lenders and not borrowers; the head and not the tail. God has purposed for us to be on top and never at the bottom.

When God wants to bless someone, He blesses the works of their hands and when He wants to curse a person, He curses the works of their hands as well. Among the final prophetic prayers of Moses – a Word for Judah – is this phrase: Let his hands be sufficient for him, and may You be a help against his enemies” (Dt. 33:7). This is a scripture to meditate on and believe, so that our hands will do great things. Our hands will make profits, build houses to dwell in, and be strong for great feats. God will have every weakness in our hands disappear, and empower our hands for good things. God has destined that our hands will be empowered to accomplish great things and be sufficient for us.

There are some people, if one puts a hundred million naira in their hands, before long it will all vanish, no matter how hard they try. Such hands lack heaven’s blessings! But there are some others, who if given only a few thousands of Naira, will with time, multiply it into a hundred million naira. The difference is in their hands! We as Believers, are heirs to the blessings of Abraham through Christ! When Adam sinned in the garden, part of the curse caused that from then on, his work would be hard. He would toil by the sweat of his brow for his living. But Jesus paid the price that the curse would be broken and now gives us His yoke which is easy and His burden, which is light (Mt.11:30).

Our hands are keys to increase and prosperity. Wisdom, strength and success can also be transferred by the laying on of hands. In order to maximize our impact and fulfil life’s purposes, God often raises helpers of our hands that will support and strengthen us to achieve His Will. May such persons locate us, in Jesus’ name. Moses laid hands on Joshua and transferred on him not only authority, but also the blessings of strength and wisdom: Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses” (Ecc.34:9). Gifts were released into the life of Timothy by the laying on of hands by Paul (1Tim.4:14; 2Tim.1:6). Blessed hands transfer blessings; while cursed hands unleash curses, corruption, and pollution!

The enemy knows the importance of our hands in spiritual warfare. Our hands can be instruments of warfare in fighting life’s battles: Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who TRAINS my HANDS for WAR, and my fingers for battle (Psa.144:1). War can also be staged against a person’s hands in the realm of the spirit, by means of bewitchment. Some hands are attacked with handcuffs in the dream. In contrast to blessings, hands can experience vexation, cursing and rebuke aimed at bringing the person down (Dt.28:20). Our portion as Believers in Christ, is to enjoy Blessed Hands that are positively impactful in all of life’s endeavour!

Lord, grant us the Grace of BLESSED HANDS that are productively and profitably engaged for eternal and global impact, in Jesus’ name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
