Bible Meditation:
John 7: 28-53

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him COME to Me and DRINK John 7:37

In the account of Matthew 14: 28-29, Peter literally walked on water, but spiritually, He was walking on Jesus’ Word – “Come”! In the Scriptures, the word “Come” serves as Invitation, Call and Command. Here are Seven inspiring instances:

COME OUT – “Therefore “COME OUT from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you” (2Cor.6:17). Is God calling you out from sin and unrighteousness into repentance and redemption?

COME BACK – “COME, and let us RETURN to the LORD; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up” (Hos.6:1). God is saying: “RETURN, you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings…” (Jer.3:22a). Are you by any chance in a state of backsliding? Repent and return!

COME NOW – “Come NOW, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isa.1:18). God’s call to the Sinner and Backslider is urgent: “…Behold, NOW is the accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation” (2Cor.6:2b). Romans 13:11 says: “…knowing the time, that NOW it is high time to awake out of sleep; for NOW our salvation is nearer than when we first believed” (Rom.13:11). Is the Lord calling you to a Life of Consecration? COME NOW, do not delay!

COME and DRINK – “And the Spirit and the bride say, “COME!” And let him who hears say, “COME!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” (Rev.22:17). The Spirit, the Bride and those who hear, all resound the command to Come. The same call is made in Isaiah 55:1-2 and John 7:37-39. We who hear, desire, hunger, and thirst are invited to Come and Drink “the water of life freely” as well as wine and milk. Come and be nourished!

COME UP – “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “COME UP here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” (Rev.4:1). Moses was also called to Higher Grounds (Exo.24:12). Isaiah 2:3-5 says, “Many people shall come and say, “COME, and let us go up to the Mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” God is calling us to Mountain-top realms of Worship, Revelation, and Glory!

COME IN – “Then the Lord said to Noah, “COME INTO THE ARK, you and all your household…” (Gen.7:1a). Isaiah 26:20 says, “COME, my people, ENTER your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.” These were Calls: to Deliverance from impending judgement; to Intercession; and Closer Intimacy with the Lord.

“COME…” as a Command: Jesus applauded the Centurion’s faith and his understanding of commands (Lk.7:8). Peter had similar understanding of the Word: “Lord, if it is You, COMMAND me to COME to You on the water” (Mt.14:28). How much value do you place on God’s Word? Do you handle His Word as mere advice and suggestion, or a Command to obey?

The Lord is calling you to Himself. He wants to give you REST and MAKE you His best: “COME to ME, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST” (Mt.11:28). And, “…COME after Me, and I WILL MAKE YOU become fishers of men” (Mk.1:17). In what aspect of life is God motivating you to COME”? Is He calling you to come out, come back, come and drink, come up, come in or simply come to Him? Whatever His ‘Come’ you hear, please Obey; do not delay!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
