COVENANT OF SUCCESS

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have GOOD SUCCESS – Joshua 1:8

The New Birth provides entry into a covenant relationship with God, covering all areas of life, including God’s grand design of SUCCESS. God has planned and programmed you for Success, but you need to have a working knowledge of the Covenant of Success, as spelt out in His Word. Joshua 1:8 reveals that: Your Success is in the BOOK – the Bible! As you confess the promises, meditate on the principles, and obey all the instructions of the eternal Book, prosperity will pursue you, and good success will be your perpetual portion.

Joshua 1: 8 also describes God’s kind of success – GOOD SUCCESS. His will for you is ALL-ROUND SUCCESS. He says: “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers” (3 John2). This speaks of wholesome success, a balanced development in all dimensions of life: spiritual, mental and physical. God alone is the Source of good success. It is not what a man can make of himself through struggling and striving. It is what God enables a person to become, who is willing to be the clay in the hands of the perfect Potter (Jer. 18:6). This implies divine processing.

SUCCESS is more of a PROCESS than a product. Success is more of a JOURNEY than an arrival. Success is more than winning or losing, because success is a process. It is more than attaining fame or acquiring fortune. These are shallow goals unless they are a means to an end, a way to bless others. Success is more than loads of currency in the bank; diplomas and awards on the wall; trophies in the case; or professional honours on the shelf.

SUCCESS is for you to be part of the world’s cure and solution, rather than being part of the crisis and problem. Success is for you to become a faithful steward of the life, liberties, time, talents, training, treasures, potentials, and possibilities that God offers you in this world. This is Good Success: to do something good, when you can, where you can, while you can! And, this is your Covenant-privilege!
