Psalm 89: 1-34

MY COVENANT I will not break, nor alter the WORD that has gone out of My lips – Psalms 89:34

Welcome to October, our Month of the COVENANT WORD in our year of Divine Display and the King’s Delight!

The LORD be praised, who in the outgone month, flooded our lives with His Glorious Light. As we continue to bask in the Sphere of His Shining Splendour, the LORD is set to initiate, establish and provoke the fulfilment of His Covenant Word in our lives. But we must believe and appropriate His Word, by faith. This month, God’s Covenant Word is proceeding afresh from His Holy Heart and Living Lips, to permeate every aspect of our lives and destinies, for His Glory and Praise.

Covenant is a mutual agreement or undertaking between two or more parties, binding themselves to fulfil certain obligations and receive certain rights or privileges. It usually involves a legal document or instrument stating details of the contractual relationship. God bound Himself by a written Covenant – His Word! The Bible is therefore a book of covenants: the Old Testament means the Old covenant; while the New Testament is the new covenant. In the Bible, the word ‘covenant’ describes the relationship between God and His people. Jehovah is the God of Covenants. He chose to relate to His people by means of covenants: mutual agreements or undertakings between Him and His people.

We serve a Covenant-initiating and Covenant-making God! Though He is not under obligation to make  covenants, the LORD is usually the Initiator, Proposer, and Maker of covenants. He does this out of His heart of Love, for the good of man, and to provide the best solutions to our needs. He is also the Covenant-keeping and Covenant-confirming God: He is “the faithful God who KEEPS COVENANT and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments” (Dt.7:9). His covenants are based on His Faithfulness (Ps.89:1-3). He’ll never break His covenant, nor alter or deny whatever promises He has made (Ps.89:34).

Jehovah is sometimes described as the God of Covenant-Promises. His covenants often come in form of PROMISES, which are conditioned on OBEDIENCE by the intended recipients. Covenant is however superior to Promises. God has many promises, but He presents Himself as the Covenant-keeping God! It takes the Light of Wisdom to lay hold on the promises of God and turn them into Covenants with God, by meeting the demands of the promises! That's what we are set to accomplish in this Blessed Month!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
