Bible Meditation:
Mark 10: 46-52

“Then many warned him to be quiet; but he CRIED out all the more, “Son of David, HAVE MERCY on me!” Mark 10:48

The Might of Divine Mercy will always hear and hearken to sincere CRY for MERCY: “So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you” (Mt.10:49). Throughout history, believers have cried out to God for Mercy in times of distress. Sometimes after years of routine praying, a single cry brings direction or deliverance instantly. Crying out to God is a fervent expression of faith in God and trust in His Mercy and Power to act on your behalf. It portrays genuine humility, unconditional surrender, personal helplessness, desperation, and admission one’s need for God. Why are there are such powerful results from simply crying out to God? The promise is clear: “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me” (Psa.50:15). All through Scripture, believers are instructed to cry out to God:

  • “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles” (Psa.34:17)
  • “When I cry out to You, then my enemies will turn back; this I know, because God is for me” (Psa.56:9)
  • “He will fulfil the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them” (Psa.145:19)
  • “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (Jer.33:3).

When the Israelites could not find fresh water in the wilderness, Moses “cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree; and when he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet…” (Exo.15:25). As you cry to God for His Mercy and Help, He will transform every spring and experience of bitterness in and around your life into sweetness. He’ll refresh your life and destiny.

Nehemiah recalled the history of Israel in bondage and God’s response to their cry of deep distress: “You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red Sea. You showed signs and wonders against Pharaoh, against all his servants, and against all the people of the land…” (Neh.9:9-10a). However deep your distress might have been, the God of heaven will hear your cry, deliver you from the dominion of darkness, and by the Might of His Mercy, with signs and wonders, rescue you from every foe.

“Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.” Beloved, the Mercy of God will answer to your cry for blessing, enlargement of territory, divine touch, and divine defence from all evil. God is not a respecter of persons. He who granted Jabez’ four-fold request will do even more for you.

When the Apostle Peter walked out on the water at the invitation of Jesus, seeing the boisterous wind, “he was afraid; and beginning to sink HE CRIED OUT, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Mt.14:30-31). Beloved, if you believe, the Hand of Mercy is stretched out to catch and rescue you from the boisterous winds and tempestuous floods of life. You shall not sink in the storms of life; you shall not drown in the world’s mighty waters. The Mercy of the Almighty will save you; only reach out you hand of faith to hold the hand of Mercy!

Bartimaeus, the blind beggar, cried out to Jesus – the Son of David – for Mercy; and he was delivered from blindness and begging (Mk.10:46-49). Mercy heard Him. Mercy silenced those who would have kept him bound in blindness and chained in penury. The Might of Mercy responded to his Cry for Mercy. His Mercy is without favouritism; and will always answer to every sincere seeker.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
