Job 22: 1-30

Thou shalt also DECREE a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways – Job 22:28 (KJV)

Possessing your possessions is often a matter of Divine DECREE. We appreciate the place of decrees when we realize that God has three levels of divine dealings. He may choose to use one or the other of these: direction; directives; and decrees.

DIRECTION speaks of guidance, whereby God gives you a leading and expects you to follow and take heed; but still leaves room for the element of choice. The Psalmist prayed: Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths” (Psa.25:4). And Isaiah 48:17 reveals: “Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go. On this first level, God gives you a choice to follow or not to.

DIRECTIVE is a more specific Instruction which comes with understanding, but demands being obeyed and implemented: Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day” (Psa.25:5). God replied: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye” (Psa. 32:8). The Word says, Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left (Isa.30:21). This second level of divine dealing demands your understanding, trust, and obedience.

DECREE is an Executive Command that must be obeyed. When God makes a divine decree, He’ll either declare the decree by Himself or He can put it in your heart as His Servant and Son, and demand that you DECLARE the DECREE. Either way, whatever is born of God will always overcome the world (1Jh.5:4). Hear Psalm 2: 7, “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.” Job 22:28 (NKJV) says: “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Declaring decrees is the route to divine establishment!

Nothing of value in life comes easy. Life rarely releases its best by chance. It often demands militant, faith-energized decrees. God has given us in His Word, executive commands concerning every matter of life: denied matters, delayed matters, dragging matters, depreciating matters, life-threatening matters, and matters that have been causing despair or depression. God’s decrees are often two-edged: they may either bring life and blessings to the upright and just person or death and curses to the unrighteous and unjust; promotion to the righteous, and demotion to the wicked adversary.

In the days ahead, we’ll meditate on and declare decrees concerning the promised possessions God has programmed us to possess in the pathways of life and destiny. By these decrees, we shall receive God’s blessings; while the enemies of righteousness waging war against us shall obtain their just recompense. Like it was with Haman in the days of Mordecai, this is the hour of groaning and gallows for the wicked and persistent pursuers of our destinies (Est.7:9-10).

The following decrees shall mark the terminus of judgement for the wicked, and the threshold of release for the just!

  • Decrees of divine deliverance
  • Decrees of dismantling prison gates
  • Decrees of abundant provisions
  • Decrees of divine appointment
  • Decrees of divine promotion
  • Decrees of divine defence
  • Decrees of supernatural security
  • Decrees of divine establishment
  • Decrees of divine enlargement
  • Decrees of all-round breakthrough

Divine decrees are not subject to debate: “Where the word of a king is, there is power; and who may say to him, “What are you doing?” (Eccl.8:4). We must arise and consistently declare divine decrees, not as occasional outbursts, but as prophetic weapons of spiritual warfare, until victory becomes visible (1Tim.1:18). So, let’s switch into the realm of the Spirit, and begin to declare decrees to possess our possessions in Christ! They shall be established for us, as His Light shines on our ways!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
