Psalm 91: 1-16

I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; my God; in Him I will trust” – Psalm 91:2

Divine DEFENCE is part of our Inheritance in Christ. God is the Keeper of Israel and the Defender of the defenceless (Psa.121:4). With Him are the blessings of Supernatural Security and Perfect Protection. We who are in Christ can rest assure that our God will guide, guard, and protect us from evil. We probably don’t thank God enough for the things He does behind the scenes. He takes us out of dangerous situations without us even knowing. It’s so awesome to know that God is watching over us and He promises to never leave us (Heb.13:5). Even though we deserve the worst, He loves, cares for, and defends us.

Psalm 91 is the believer’s Divine Insurance Policy – our Divine 9-1-1! It presents powerful promises for those who trust in God to be: securely sheltered in the Secret Place of the Most High, under His watch and protective wings (v. 1-4); delivered from dark and wicked spiritual forces (v. 3, 5, 6-9); and preserved under the defence of His angels (v. 10-12). He guarantees our Victory over all enemies (v. 13), and multiple blessings of favour, conditioned on our consecration (v. 14-16). Buttressing Psalm 91 are many other Covenant Promises of Protection:

  • The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them (Psa.34:7).
  • The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore (Psa.121:5-8).
  • When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; for the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught (Pro.3: 24-26)
  • The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Pro.18:10)
  • No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord (Isa.54:17).
  • The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him (Nah.1:7).

In Jesus Precious Name, I declare and decree that:

The Lord is my Shield from danger at all times.

The Lord is my Glory and Lifter-up of my head.

He has delivered me from the jaws of death.

He defends my destiny from the claws of destruction.

When I cry to the Lord, He hears and answers me from His holy hill.

When I lie down to sleep, I awake because He sustains me all night long.

My Keeper never slumbers nor sleeps; He blesses me daily with sweet sleep.

I will not be afraid of multitude of enemies that set themselves in array against me.

The Lord is my Light, my Salvation, my Deliverance, and my Victory.

The Lord keeps and protects me jealously as the apple of His eye.

He hides me under the shadow of His wings from the attacks of the wicked.

The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, my Deliverer, my God, and my Strength.

In Jehovah I trust, I rest, and take sanctuary and refuge.

The Lord is my Buckler, my Shield, and my Hiding-Place.

The Lord is the Horn of my Salvation, and my High Tower.

God is my Defence and Defender. The Lord of Mercy protects me.

I will sing aloud each morning about Your power and mercy.

You have been my High Tower of refuge and place of safety in days of distress.

Through You I shall be valiant in battle as You tread down my enemies.

Violence shall never be my visitor;

Wasting and destruction shall never feature within my borders;

But my walls shall be called Salvation and my gates Praise (Is.60:18).

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
