DIVINE PROFIT (5)

“The Lord will COMMAND THE BLESSING on you in your storehouses and IN ALL to which you set your hand…” – Deuteronomy 28:8a

DIVINE PROFIT flows from God’s Commanded Blessing: “The Lord will COMMAND THE BLESSING on you in your storehouses and IN ALL to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you” (Deut.28:8). Verse 12 says, “The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand.” When, in response to obedience, the heaven opens over our endeavours, our efforts achieve graceful lift.

In this classic covenant chapter of blessings and curses, Moses outlined the stunning rewards of listening diligently to the Voice of the Lord and obeying His commandments. This was at a critical turning point for the Israelites as they prepared to enter the Promised Land – a land they would have to cultivate, defend, and govern. Today, the Lord is upgrading our understanding of True Prosperity. It is not a product of human luck, but an act of covenant performance – God commands supernatural growth upon the labour of our hands, not upon nothing!

Moses shifted their perspective from the wilderness survival mentality to the ownership mentality of the Promised Land, with a blueprint for their economic breakthrough. First is the commanded blessing upon their storehouses – savings, investments, and assets, and everything they set their hands to do. Second is the guarantee of open heavens: Opening His “good treasure” to release seasonal rain. Divine Profit flows when heaven’s moisture meets earthly industry. In this covenant, we do not just work hard – our work is crowned with supernatural yield. God does not sponsor flops. When He commands a performance, He provides the supernatural leverage to ensure profit.

Recognising that the gateway to the Commanded Blessing is hearing and obeying, we must prioritize the Voice of God, and make time to seek His specific direction for our career, business, or ministry. Next, we must give God something to bless: "the work of your hand." We cannot multiply zero. Rather, we must step out in faith, start a project, and put our hands to work. “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it" (Pro.10:22). Moreover, we must operate with a Lender's Mindset, ready to lend to nations and not borrow as we cultivate financial discipline, avoid unnecessary debt, and are positioned to be holy channels for God’s Kingdom.

In Jesus’ Name, I declare that:

As I obey the Voice of the Lord, supernatural blessings overtake me round-about. I walk in Divine Distinction before the watching world.

I am blessed in the city and in the field. The fruit of my body, the increase of my wealth, and the work of my hands are abundantly blessed.

I am blessed coming in, and soundly protected going out, as every enemy that rises against my progress is defeated before my face.

The Lord commands His irreversible blessings upon my storehouses, assets, and investments; and I am established as a holy vessel.

The Lord opens unto me His good treasure – the heavens – to release my seasonal rain. I shall lend to many nations; I will never borrow! I am permanently the head and not the tail!
