Psalm 91: 1-16

He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler Psalm 91:4

Almighty God has covenanted to defend, protect, and secure His people. When you trust in the Lord, you are divinely DEFENDED, powerfully protected, and supernaturally secured. No human devices or strategies can compare with the blessings of Divine Defence and Supernatural Security. The Believer in Christ is like the “apple of God’s Eye.” This was testified concerning Jacob: “He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye” (Dt.32:10). The Psalmist also prayed: “Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings” (Psa.17:8). It is again written concerning Zion: “…he who touches you touches the apple of His eye” (Zec.2:8). What the Covenant-keeping God does for one, He can do for all. I pray for you therefore: “As Jehovah has found you, He will ENCIRCLE you with His Wall of Fire, INSTRUCT you by His Word and Spirit, and KEEP you as the apple of His eye, in Jesus name”!

God judged and destroyed the world with a great flood in the days of Noah, due to man’s great wickedness in the earth (Gen.6:5-8). He however instructed Noah to build an ark where he and his household and all he had would take refuge from the deluge. Noah obeyed; and when the rains fell and the flood came, it got so fierce; it destroyed all flesh except those in Noah’s ark. The same flood that was a form of destruction to unbelieving humanity bore the ark higher and those inside the ark were preserved. That ark typified Christ. There’s no destruction for the New Creation in Christ. You’re safe and secure in Him!

The Psalmist testified that the Lord was his defence and refuge in the day of trouble (Psa.59:16b). Psalm 91 paints a clearer picture of Divine Defence: “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust” (Psa.91:1-2). You can be ‘at home’ in the hiding place of Most High; confident in Christ, that no fowler’s snare, noisome pestilence, terror by night, flying arrow by day, pestilence in darkness or wasting destruction can prevail.

When you truly believe, trust and obey, you can move through life in the Atmosphere of the Divine! When the children of Israel left Egypt to the Promised Land; they moved with their own atmosphere: “And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night” (Exo.13:20). Everywhere else in the wilderness was arid and hot, but God’s people were defended by His divine Presence. The pillar of cloud shielded them from the scorching heat during the day; while it became a pillar of fire to give them warmth in the cold nights, and direction through the night’s darkness! Even now, “in Him we live, and move, and have our being…” (Acts 17:28a). John the Beloved assuredly wrote: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1Jh.4:4).

If you’re born again, you’re in Him; your life is hid with Christ in God (Col.3:3). Christ is your Defence, Security, Stronghold, Rock and Fortress. You are sheltered in the safe refuge of the Almighty. You’re blessed with Security from Satan’s snares and schemes (Psa.91:3). Irrespective of what’s happening out there in the world; you need not fear. You’re not alone: the greater One lives in you, and you live in Him. You will dwell in safety, and be shielded from the insecurity, political unrests, economic upheavals, poverty, violence, disappointments, and frustration in this world. When you’re in Christ, He is your Help and Divine Defence! Hallelujah!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
