“For she had heard in the country of Moab that the LORD HAD VISITED His people by giving them bread” – Ruth 1:6b
God visits to lift His people FROM DEVASTATION to RESTORATION: “Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the LORD HAD VISITED His people by giving them bread” (Ruth 1:6). Today’s meditation passage opens with a scene of desperation and profound brokenness. Famine in Bethlehem drove a family to Moab. Then, famine of the heart followed: Naomi lost her husband and both sons, leaving her empty, barren, and bitter in a foreign land!
After the devastation, the News of Visitation – that God had intervened to end the famine in Bethlehem – crossed border to break the despair. Divine Visitation is often initiated by God’s Grace, to end seasons of suffering. When God visits, lack of food, opportunity, or joy is replaced with His provision. For Naomi, hearing of this visitation ignited hope and prompted her return to her destiny. Beloved, no matter how far we have strayed or how severe our "famine" has been, the report of God’s Goodness should trigger a comeback – a restoration in destiny.
Commitment positions us for Visitation: “But Ruth said: ‘Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge; your people shall be my people, and your God, my God’” (v.16). Orpah loved Naomi; Ruth cleaved to her. She totally surrendered – abandoning her gods, culture, and past for a new life. Although a Moabite, she chose the God of Israel. This radical commitment to the covenant – represented by Naomi – placed her in the direct path of God's blessing and Boaz-level turnaround. Divine Visitation often demands that we abandon our comfort zones and trust God fully, aligning our loyalties with His purpose.
Let’s stop feeding in "Moab" – the place of spiritual death, when we know God is working elsewhere. Let’s act promptly on the good news of His blessing, be willing to turn our back on the past, surrender previous failures, and move toward a new future with Him. Even if we cannot see the blessing yet, we can be positioned by faith to operate in the expectation of visitation. Divine Visitation often flows through human connections; hence, we must be committed to spiritual mentors and loyal to covenant relationships, just as Ruth was to Naomi.
In Jesus’ Name, I affirm that:
This is my season of visitation, and my story is changing positively. I step out of the famine of scarcity into the season of abundance.
I refuse to be left behind in Moab – the place of Pain. I align with Divine Purpose, and move into my "Bethlehem" – the Land of Bread.
Every long-standing negative pattern in my life is broken by God’s Power. Every bitter experience becomes a sweet testimony of redemption.
My heart is sensitive to the Voice of God. I will not miss my Time of Visitation. All lost opportunities and stolen blessings shall be restored.
By the Power of the Highest, I am a recipient of unmerited Favor, divine acceleration in life, and Boaz-level turnarounds.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
