Bible Meditation:
1Chronicles 4:9-10

“…You have a divine destiny. Discover it.

God created you with a unique purpose in mind. Discover it. God believes in you. Discover why. Discovering the real you is a journey no-one else can go on for you, but if you will just step out of the rut, life will start to take a new turn. To be who God meant you to be, you must develop a dislike for a worldly life that is short of being the fulfilled Christian experience that you could have. A proverb says ‘discontent is the first step in progress.’ This may mean that you will have to start looking at life, not as it is, but as it can be for the believing Christian.

Jabez was a man who had seen troubles and woes in his days. He was born at a time his parents probably thought was wrong, so they called him a name which meant ‘son of sorrow.’ He grew up with such a name, which was to later shape his life for a long time. But one day Jabez chose to come out of the rut. He chose to change and refused to settle for a life of second best (2 Chronicles 4:9-10). His life changed when he started to reject the ‘son of sorrow’ image for that of a man ‘honourable above his brethren.’

He discovered a Jabez no-one else knew existed, a Jabez with an innate sense of dignity and purpose in life. The turning point in Jabez’s life was when he decided to take inventory of his life. That is the beginning point for anyone who wants to discover what a quality person God had made him to be.”

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
