Bible Meditation:
Psalm 29: 1-11

"The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace" – Psalm 29:11

DIVINE PEACE is not the absence of power; it is the spiritual fortitude that’s calm while exercising dominion: "The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace” (Psa.29:11). God’s Strength is often wrapped in Peace. Divine Performance is not always about thunderous displays of power, dramatic shifts, or fiery breakthroughs. Psalm 29 captures this exact imagery, painting a vivid portrait of God's Majestic Voice echoing over the waters, splintering mighty cedars, and shaking the wilderness. Yet, the profound paradox of this psalm is its climax. The same thunderous voice that silences chaos is ultimately channelled to produce Divine Peace in the Believer.

Psalm 29 is a majestic hymn that’s associated with the Feast of Tabernacles. David commanded the heavenly hosts to give glory to God, countering the ancient Near Eastern myths that attributed storms and cosmic battles to false gods like Baal. David declared that Israel's God is the absolute Sovereign over all chaotic elements. The seven-times repetition of “the voice of the Lord" infers perfect divine operation: "The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty" (vv.3-4). His Voice performs, commands creation, and enforces His absolute rule over every threatening force.

The “Flood" refers to the Noahic deluge – a symbol of global chaos. When life looks riotous, God does not pace the floors; He calmly executes His sovereign decree from His throne: "The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, and the Lord sits as King forever" (v.10). The exact same omnipotence that shakes the earth is now deployed to fortify us with strength and wrap us in an internal, unbroken ecosystem of peace (v.11). We are called to look past the storm to the Throne: Whenever any aspect of our lives encounters a sudden storm, rather than focus on the wind, but look up and recognize that our Father is still fully enthroned over the flood. We can anchor our rest on His Omnipotence!

Divine Peace is not a fragile emotion; it is backed by God’s incomparable Strength. We can rest because He who commands the universe is the one enforcing our tranquillity. The same Voice that is loud enough to shake the wilderness is gentle enough to quiet anxious hearts.

In Jesus’ Name, I decree that:

The Voice of God is shattering every opposition ahead of me. No matter how high the flood rises, my King sits enthroned over my situation.

I receive a mighty infusion of divine strength to outlast every seasonal trial. I walk out of the storm with double strength and steady peace.

The blessing of Shalom forms an impassable shield around my heart, mind, and emotions. My soul is anchored in God’s absolute sovereignty.

Every chaotic wind blowing against my family is instantly subdued by the Voice of the Lord. I break the hold of panic and panic attacks.

I step out of self-preservation into Divine Performance, and command every wilderness season in my life to begin to yield its hidden treasures.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
