“But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”– Matthew 4:4
Your Spiritual DIET can enhance or hinder the flow and workings of DIVINE POWER in your life! Jesus overcame the devil in the day of temptation because He had received the right spiritual nutrition for Strength in the day of battle! Just as you need physical food for physical strength, you need spiritual food for spiritual strength. The Bible – the Word of God – is the food for your recreated human spirit. For you to be strong and vibrant in your spirit, you need to feed on the Word. It is the water, milk, bread, and meat for your spiritual life. A commander in the Army wouldn’t send a soldier into battle who hadn’t eaten in a week, nor would a construction contractor assign a person who hadn’t eaten anything in three days to a site job! You need to feed yourself to have the strength to accomplish the tasks ahead of you. Your victory in the spiritual battles you face is likely to be limited if you’re undernourished.
Just as what goes into your mouth feeds your body, what you see and hear feed your spirit and soul. There are “spiritually healthy foods” and there is “spiritual junk foods” or “toxic soul foods” that harm the soul and spirit and cause poor spiritual health. You must avoid eating, ingesting or digesting diets that can hamper the Power of God from flowing out to do His miraculous works. The daily choices you make as regards what you feed the inner man with would determine how far you can walk with God in Power. A christian who wastes hours watching sex and violence on television or devouring X-rated movies and magazines, would rarely read the Bible. Such a person cannot be a recipient of God’s holy anointing for Supernatural Power to perform miracles for His glory.
Both phsyical and spiritual nutrition are important, because we always become what we eat. This applies to the physical as well as spiritual realms. Whatever food you choose to chew, swallow and eat will become part of you, part of your blood, flesh, organs, bones, and brain cells. Medical practitioners know that eating right is a major factor in helping patients get well. Wholesome foods produce healthy bodies, whereas junk foods drain stamina, energy and strength to such a degree that performance is either minimal or negative. People who feed on poor diet tend to become malnourished, weak, and susceptible to diseases. These same facts are true in the spiritual realm. We must take greater care in what we feed our souls and spirits, because so much more is at stake.
Just as in the physical realm, wherein what you take in with your mouth determines how you will grow, what you take in with your eyes and ears determines how strong and powerful you will become. You must not only be willing to pay the price to have a healthy body, but also to eliminate the bad things from your diet and increase the proportion of proper diet that you eat: “Man does not live by bread alone, but . . . by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord” (Deut.8:3; Mt.4:4). Our souls are designed to be nourished by God’s “precious and very great promises” (2Pet.1:4). In the same way you feed your physical body with foods rich in carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, and minerals, you have to give your spirit the necessary nourishment it requires: “I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food” (Job 23:12).
Learn to prize God’s Word above your necessary physical food! The forces of life are resident in your spirit: “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life” (Pro.4:23). God’s life, power, and character are deposited in your human spirit when you are born again, and as you feed on the Word (in study and meditation), you’ll manifest those divine qualities from your spirit.

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
