DIVINE PROCESSING (4)

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations” – Jeremiah 1:5

DIVINE PROCESSING is God’s intentional journey of preparing, shaping, and equipping us to fulfill our ultimate destiny: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; and I ordained you a prophet to the nations” (Jer.1:5). Having been uniquely designed, authorized, and divinely empowered by the Creator, Jeremiah had the conviction to face the challenges of his calling. His prophetic trajectory is an illuminating template for all who are called and ordained to live for and serve the Lord.

First, the prophet was assured of his predestined Identity (v.5). Before he was a thought to his parents, he was a reality to God. His Maker knew him intimately, set him apart, and pre-assigned his life's purpose. In Christ, the same can be said of us. Our lives are not products of random chance, but meticulously crafted assignments. The calling is followed by divine empowerment (v.9). When God calls us, He does not send us in our own strength. By touching Jeremiah's mouth, God symbolically imparted His Authority, Wisdom, and Anointing. Our inadequacies or weaknesses – like Jeremiah’s youth – are no match for God’s empowering touch.

The Prophetic Mandate of Divine Processing for God’s people involved both destruction and construction. He must first "pluck up" and "tear down" limiting mindsets, habits, and obstacles in our lives before He can "build" and "plant" His lasting legacy. This dual process equips us to transform our spheres of influence by the assured fulfilment of God’s Word, which He watches over to perform it (vv.11-12). The processing phase requires patience, but because God is the Author of the vision, He will unceasingly guard the process until the promise becomes a reality. Our assignments were established before our mistakes were made; hence, we can trust the Potter’s hands even when the fire is hot!

Like Jeremiah, we can embrace the Silent Seasons when God is pruning us, uprooting negative habits, or separating us from distractions, trusting the process rather than fighting it. He is preparing us to carry the weight of blessings. When we feel unqualified to share our faith or pursue our purpose, we must rely on His Voice, not our vocabulary, and remember that God placed His words in our mouth. We must stand firm in our calling. People may doubt us, but since our appointment comes from Heaven, we can operate with divine boldness. God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called, and divine processing is His training ground.

In Jesus’ Name, I affirm that:

I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and God knew me before I was formed in my mother's womb, and set apart for His holy purposes.

Every limiting mindset and obstacle in my life is uprooted by His Power, as He builds and plants me for greatness, fruitfulness, and impact.

My past cannot cancel my future, because my future was designed by God, and He watches over His Word in my life to perform it.

I do not rely on my own strength, for God’s Grace is sufficient for me to be a Vessel of Honour, fit for the Master’s use.
