Bible Meditation:
1 Thessalonians 5: 12-24

“He who calls you is FAITHFUL, who also will do it” – 1 Thessalonians 5:24

The Faithfulness of God to perform His DIVINE PROMISES should undergird the Believer’s conduct: “He who calls you is FAITHFUL, who also will do it” (1 The.5:24). He Who promised is faithful (Heb.10:23). Also, He Who called us is faithful to bring the calling to performance! The apostle Paul, was giving brisk, final instructions to a young church facing persecution and internal challenges. He called for: Respect for leaders (vv.12-13); an active Christian community that admonishes the idle, encourages the timid, helps the weak, and is patient (v. 14); Joy, prayer, and thanksgiving (vv.16-18); spiritual discernment to test prophecies and avoid evil (vv.19-22); and sanctification (v. 23)

Verse 24 offers pertinent lessons. First is the lesson of Divine Initiation: It is God who “calls” or summons us into salvation, fellowship, and sanctification. Next is the lesson of His Unwavering Character: God is faithful – constant, trustworthy, and never failing. His faithfulness is not a mood, but covenantal consistency, rooted in His Nature, not our performance. Third is the lesson of Guaranteed Completion: God “will do it” – He will not abandon the work of sanctification midway. His Promise is to complete the transformation of our spirit, soul, and body; to sanctify us wholly and keep us blameless at Christ’s coming. While not cancelling personal responsibility, this scripture shifts the burden of perfection from human fragility and places it squarely on Divine Fidelity. The command for holiness is impossible on our own.

Beloved, join me in these Faith Declarations. In Jesus’ Name:

I declare that because the One who called me is faithful, I will not be abandoned in the middle of life’s challenges. Every good work God has begun in my life, family, and destiny, He will bring to perfect completion.

I declare that my sanctification is secured by the faithful Hand of God, and I am set apart for His Glory. All that God has called me to do, He will provide all the grace, strength, and resources needed for accomplishment.

I declare that my spiritual, mental, and physical well-being is preserved blameless by the God of Peace. Every plan of the enemy to steal my peace or truncate my destiny is destroyed.

I declare that I will not fail, I will not turn back, and I will manifest God's Purpose for my life. Doors of opportunity, which were locked, are opening now by the Faithful One.

I declare that I will walk in divine health and peace, for my soul is anchored in God's Faithfulness. And, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, I will be found blameless and upright.

I reject all fear, doubt, and worry, and I choose to walk in the confidence that my God will bring to completion all that He commenced. I trust Him to finish the work He started in my career, family, and spiritual walk.

Prayer:
Lord, we acknowledge that we cannot sanctify ourselves, but as we submit, You’re faithful to bring our calling to manifestation, in Jesus’ name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
