Bible Meditation:
Psalm 37: 1-7.

DELIGHT thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the DESIRES of thine heart – Psalm 37:4

We are standing on Hebrews 11:1: “Now FAITH IS the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

FAITH is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for…Faith is the Substance of Hope.

Faith + Things hoped for = Substance

FAITH is the EVIDENCE of THINGS not seen….Faith is the Evidence of Invisible REALITIES.

Faith + Things not seen = Evidence

FAITH is the substance of HOPE. Faith is the vital bridge between your hopes, dreams, desires, vision and their realisation. Hope is good and necessary, but it is incomplete without Faith. Hope without faith is unproductive. It soon gets discouraged and frustrated: “HOPE deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the DESIRE cometh, it is a tree of life” (Pro.13:12). Whereas, hope which is backed up with active faith (corresponding action) produces the expected reality.

HOPE also stands for DESIRE. Desire is biblical, but there are godly, righteous desires and there are evil, lustful desires. Mark 11:24 says: “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye DESIRE, when ye PRAY, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” This scripture refers to godly and righteous desires that are based on the Word and Will of God. Any desire that you cannot honestly and sincerely PRAY to God about has no place in the walk of Faith!

Someone may assume that Mark 11:24 means: “I can desire whatever I please.” Yes, you can desire whatever you wish, but the Hope that Faith gives substance to is the “desire of the righteous,” which is “only good” (Pro.10:24; 11:23). God is committed to granting the desires that align with His Word and Will for you. God satisfies the legitimate desires “of every living thing” and promised to “fulfil the desire of them that fear him” (Psa.145:16,19).

God does not grant every human desire because some desires are destructive! If He were to grant every of our desires, many of us would have been ensnared or destroyed by lustful and evil desires. “The desire of the slothful killeth him…” (Pro.21:25). Backslidden Israel when were left to “their own desire,” ended up in destruction (Psa.78:29-31). God gave us the Power of Choice, but he makes His Wisdom, Way and Will available for us in His Word, to help DEFINE our DESIRES, so that we can make choices that would be beneficial and not detrimental to our destinies!

Are you delighting yourself in the Lord? What are those Word-based desires of your heart? Take them to the Lord in prayer. Believe that you receive them, and you shall have them in Jesus name! The Word Works!! Believe it!!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
