FAITH AND GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

Through FAITH also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged Him FAITHFUL who had promised – Hebrews 11:11

FAITH is intricately linked with FAITHFULNESS. There is no faith outside of the faithfulness of God. Faith is absolute trust in God which is born out of the REVELATION of His FAITHFULNESS and the INTEGRITY of His Word. Biblical faith counts God faithful and true to fulfil every word that proceeds from His mouth.

The faithfulness of God is the foundation for biblical faith. Hebrews 11:11 testifies that “through FAITH also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged Him FAITHFUL who had promised.” Faith always judges God faithful to fulfil His Word.

Scriptures consistently attest to God’s faithfulness:
- GOD IS FAITHFUL, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord (1Cor.1:9).
- FAITHFUL IS HE that calleth you, who also will do it (1The.5:4).
- But the LORD IS FAITHFUL, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil (2The.3:3).
- If we believe not, yet HE ABIDETH FAITHFUL: He cannot deny Himself (2Tim.2:13).

Once the question of God’s faithfulness or integrity is adequately answered, faith becomes anchored and established. God always means what He says and says what He means: “For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2Cor.1:20).
