Bible Meditation:
Zechariah 4: 1-14

‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ” Zechariah 4:7

Grace builds and builds-up! Grace will always FINISH the assignment. Grace is a Builder and a Finisher. That’s the lesson of Zechariah 4. Grace – the spiritual ‘bulldozer’ – levelled the “great mountain” challenging Governor Zerubbabel’s accomplishment of destiny’s project and turned it into a plain (v.7). Zerubbabel came to realise that the Spirit of Grace, rather than natural ability, determined destiny fulfilment: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” (v.6). Zerubbabel was assured that he would successfully mobilize the people and overcome all the obstacles to complete the temple through the Spirit’s help. At the end, he would celebrate Grace: “he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, GRACE, GRACE unto it” (v.7).

The message was that the Lord will bring a seemingly impossible project to completion by using His servants – Zerubbabel the Governor and Joshua the high priest – by His Grace and supernatural help. This message is applicable to any ministry assignment that God has given to any of His people.

One level of grace lays foundations: “The hands of Zerubbabel have LAID the foundation of this house…” (v.9a). Beginning is not easy. It takes a toll on the human will. Commencing any worthwhile endeavour demands courage and determination. Grace answers to all these. It enables you to take the first steps of faith – however small – that lead to large fields of victory!

Another level of grace builds on the foundation. Courage is the desire to commence; persistence is the determination to continue, to press on (Lk.16:16; Phil.3:14). Grace enhances both courage and persistence. Success is due to holding on. Failure is due to giving up. God’s Grace enables you to hold on against all challenges and odds.

Another level of grace completes or finishes the building: “…his hands shall also FINISH it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you“ (v.9b). Having received God’s grace for life’s race, you are not permitted to quit until you breast the tape. You must “endure unto the end and be saved. “For surely there is an end…” and your expectation of completion shall not be disappointed (Pro 23:18).

The Lord will “perfect, establish, strengthen and settle” you in respect of your life’s vision and assignments. God will enable you by His Grace to commence, continue, and complete every divine dream and vision you set your heart upon in Him.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
