Bible Meditation:
Psalm 63: 1-11

So I have looked for You in the SANCTUARY, to see Your POWER and Your Glory” – Psalm 63:2

GOD’S HOUSE is not only a Fortress of Faith it is our Sanctuary of Glory and TOWER of POWER: “The name of the LORD is a STRONG TOWER; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Pro.18:10). And Zion is the Place of His Name: “to declare the name of the LORD in Zion; and His praise in Jerusalem” (Psa.102:21).  Zion is also the Place of His Power, Beauty, and Purity: “The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Your people shall be volunteers in the day of Your POWER; in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, You have the dew of Your youth” (Psa.110:2-3). David said of the Lord: “For You have been a shelter for me, and a STRONG TOWER from the enemy” (Psa.61:3). Again, “My lovingkindness and my fortress, my HIGH TOWER and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me” (Psa.144:2).

God is the Omnipotent Possessor of all Power; but He focuses His power primarily in the direction of His people. Christianity is a relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ, and it takes power to become a son of God: “But as many as received Him, to them gave He POWER TO BECOME the SONS of GOD, even to them that believe on His name” (Jh.1:12, KJV). Even Jesus was “…declared to be the Son of God with POWER…” (Rom.1:4). It takes the Power of God to be born-again, to grow, to mature and be transformed into sonship! Power is required to become anything worthwhile and significant in life. Power is available in God for you to become whatever He designed you to be. Only, you must be willing to believe and be positioned to receive His power! And the best position is in His House: So I have looked for You in the SANCTUARY, to see Your POWER and Your Glory” (Psa.63:2).

In this New Covenant, the Church is God’s TOWER of POWER. The Lord Jesus Christ promised us:Behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until ye be endued with POWER from on high” (Lk.24:49). And in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive POWER when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” The promised Power descended on the Day of Pentecost, and has remained in and upon the Church till today, as key part of our equipment to fulfil the Great Commission.

We can run into “the Name of the Lord” and be safe, because it is our Strong Tower (Pro.18:10). We can take comfort in knowing there is a place of refuge in His great name, and His wonderful Name is found in His great House! Psalm 62:6-7 says, “He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” How great is our God! How wonderful it is to know that we can pray in Jesus’ majestic Name and receive answers! What a wonderful privilege we have as believers to minister to others and to lay hands on the sick and see them recover in that Name (Mk.16:18). The Name of Jesus still carries the same mighty weight of glory and authority as it did in the mouths of the early disciples who ministered to souls and witnessed miraculous manifestations.

Believers in Christ Jesus can now declare with Paul: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the POWER that works in us, to Him be glory in the CHURCH by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” (Eph.3:20). Is God’s Power at work in you? Have you been elevated and positioned in His TOWER of POWER?

Prayer:
Lord, lift and position me securely in Your High and Strong TOWER of POWER, far above all enemy forces, in Jesus’ Name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
