GOD’S WORD OF LIFE AND HEALTH

“For they are LIFE to those who FIND them, and HEALTH to all their flesh” – Proverbs 4:22

Believing in Christ connects us to the privileged asset of GOD’S WORD of LIFE and HEALTH: “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are LIFE to those who FIND them, and HEALTH to all their flesh” (Pro.4: 20-22). These scriptures tell us how God’s Word can help our Health. The word translated “health” is the Hebrew word for medicine. The Word of God is medicine to our physical bodies; it will rejuvenate and revitalise us when we apply it to our lives. The Word is alive and full of power – active, operative and effective; hence, it doesn’t matter what the case is, if we would hear the Word and accept it, it would produce in us and for us the desired results.

One of the secrets to living a really full life is understanding the love that God has for us as individuals. When we really believe this truth, we begin to live it out. That is, we’re better able to develop and sustain habits that honour our body and honour God. We also are better able to keep our mind on things of God and not things of this world. So, let’s allow God’s words – His truths, found in the Bible – to penetrate our hearts. This will bring us a richer and fuller life, and good health, in spirit, mind and body. God is instructing that we read the Bible, His Word, and keep what we read deep inside in our heart. The more often we read the Bible, the better we appreciate what God has in store for us and the better we understand how much He loves us.

The Word of God is His Agency of Healing, Deliverance, and Sound Health: “He sent His WORD and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions” (Psa.107:20). If one who is sick takes time to meditate on the Word, the Word would produce healing in such. The Word is not only the antidote for sickness and disease, it’s also the perfect recipe for success and prosperity: “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Jos.1:8).

According to today’s passage of Scripture, God’s Word is health to all human flesh. God is interested not only in our spirit, but also in our flesh. He wants His Spirit dwelling in a body that is healthy and whole, because He wants what is on the inside to be demonstrated or manifested on the outside. God has already sent His Word to address every situation we’ll ever face in life. He has sent His Word for our healing, health, wellness, prosperity, and spiritual fruitfulness and advancement.

Have we found His Word? It is our responsibility to lay hold on His Word. God’s Word in our spirit and in our mouth will make us what it talks about. That’s what we need to be all that God wants us to be, and experience the divine transformation that’ll make us a wonder to our world. Let’s thank our Father for the power of His Word to bring us health, prosperity, and peace, and cause us to excel in all we do. Our Word is in our heart and in our mouth today, producing in us a harvest in days to come in Jesus’ Name.
