Bible Meditation:
Psalm 121: 1-8

I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? MY HELP comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth” Psalm 121: 1-2

By God’s Grace, we’ll press on this new month in our meditations on GOD’S WORDS of HOPE and HELP: “I will lift up my eyes to the hills – from whence comes my help? MY HELP comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth” (Psa.121:1-2). David asked a rhetorical question: “where does my help come from?”  And he answered it promptly and accurately: “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” He went on to present the wonderful testimonial of this absolutely dependable Helper: He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand” (vv.3-5). The Lord God watches over us, to keep us from all harm. He watches over our lives and destinies.

JESUS CHRIST – our Redeemer and Rescuer, has the right vision and the right direction. He made the boldest claim in the history of man when He declared, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life” (Jh.14:6). People wondered if the claim was accurate. He answered their question by forging a path through the underbrush of sin and death – escaping alive. In order for our Hope to be restored and strengthened on life’s journey, we only need to lift up our eyes, looking unto the One who made us and He will give us help: “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God (Heb.12:2).

The nations and people of the world are passing through times of gross darkness and perplexity, as it had been prophesied: “For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising (Isa.60:2-3).  All over the world, on the journey to eternity, humanity seems to be at the lowest point in the midst of the darkest valley. But those who have and hold on to Hope in God’s Help will break through into the light and break forth shining like the Sun: “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you (Isa.60:1). In the lowest and darkest seasons of life, true believers in Christ shall be sustained by living Hope and divine Help!

Our needs are undoubtedly varied and myriad, and the only One who can answer them is God. We must therefore hold out our hands toward Him in supplication and prayers, with thanksgiving: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Phil.4: 6-7). There are undoubtedly dark and discouraging times, and believers may feel helpless at times. But we should never be hopeless because we are not made in the mold of the rest of the world, who have no hope in times of darkness and difficulty.

By the Grace and Mercy of the Living God, in this new month and going forward:

The LORD will be our Keeper and our Shade at the right hand.

The sun of evil shall not smite us by day, nor the moon of wickedness by night.

The LORD shall preserve us from all evil; He shall preserve our souls.

The LORD shall preserve our going out and our coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore. Amen!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
