“Even to your OLD AGE, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” – Isaiah 46:4
GOD PERFECTS DESTINIES at OLD AGE: “Even to your OLD AGE, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you” (Isa.46:4). Remember: Divine Perfections are Lifelong – from the womb, through childhood, and youth, to adulthood and old age. God will carry you when you are too young to know you need it, and when you are too old to walk on your own. His sustaining love is forever. He reminded Israel: “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb” (v.3).
Growing old is what virtually everybody wants and yet many dread. The frightening aspects include: an aging body which is more prone to illness; declining strength; feelings of ineptitude; the loss of friends and loved ones; the imminence of one’s own death; loneliness; feelings of isolation from children and grandchildren, who are busy with other interests and pursuits; and, very often, financial concerns due to dwindling income. There is a general notion that one gradually become less useful with age, as though the world was made exclusively for the young. The world may believe such; but we are not of this world. When we live our lives for God, our sojourn on earth does not end until we take our final breath. It is never too late in the day for God to perfect your destiny!
Noah, Moses, Abraham – some of our greatest biblical models – accomplished their greatest assignments at a time when most would have settled into retirement. Scripture records the story of Barzillai (2 Samuel 19), who was “old,” yet still useful. The Bible is dotted with examples of the aged who refused to use “old age” as an excuse. God will use you at any age, and any stage. There is no age limit to the way He works, and His is a love that never grows old. With God by your side, you can age gracefully!
Every day we live is an opportunity to know God more. And He never ages. If you’re getting anxious about growing older, simply shift your focus to learning more of Jesus every day, and watch all of the ways you’ll begin to feel young again. Meditate on His Word and have your youth renewed: “Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psa.103:5). Proverb 16:31 says, “The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, If it is found in the way of righteousness.” This implies that if you have spent your years walking with God, and learning from Him, then you have earned every gray hair on your head. They should be celebrated and worn like a crown, as a tribute that you are a living, breathing child of the King.
“Wisdom is with aged men, and with length of days, understanding” (Job 12:12). Some life lessons come in an instant, but others must be learned from years of experience and maturity. The older we grow, the more we learn about life’s greatest virtues and values, which lead us to a deeper understanding of life’s seasons, and greater wisdom. David cried to the Lord: “Now also when I am old and gray-headed, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come” (Psa.71:18). He was an old man with many trials and problems, but obviously a joyful man who was able to put his focus on the Lord in the midst of the trials. God’s way to grow old is to develop a walk with Him in the years leading up to old age. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of my faith (Heb.12:2). Even to old age, Christ is the PERFECTER of our destiny!

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
